Lev Arris	Posted - 2006.02.27 19:45:00 - [1] I'm able to access a level 3 agent now and wondered what ship (for the combat missions) I should be using, I have access to all the Caldari Cruisers + the Battlecruiser, I'm guessing that people are going to suggest I use the Ferox but what kind of shield tank should I be fitting (I generally try and fit a medium booster, Invulnerability 1 and then as many extenders as I can) Please try and avoid suggesting T2 stuff I not that rich I'm afraid
Zaphroid Eulthran	Posted - 2006.02.28 01:13:00 - [2] Ferox definetly, any and all lvl 3's are soloable in this ship i use: 5x limos heavies with rat specific missiles 2x med nos 3x T2 extenders (T1 will work as well but will prob req warpouts) 1x invounrability field 1x rat specific hardener(active) 2x PDU 2x BCU i have the BC skill lvl3 and 300K in missiles the cap and shield skills are importaint for this as well the nos are not really required as the cap can hold its own (only the two hardeners require cap) but they do sometimes help with wearing down intercepters Warning, sig starts here, Mwaha Mwahaha Mwhahahahaha. e'hem and now, for something completely off topic

I have Battlecruiser 4, 176k points in Missiles, and +10% shields and -20% shield recharge time from skills. That's about the full extent of my combat skills. All tech 1: 5 x Heavy Launchers (can swap 1 or 2 for Assault for frigs) 2 x 250mm Railguns 2 x Large Shield Extender 2 x Shield Hardeners (pick type as appropriate) 1 x 10MN Afterburner 2 x Ballistic Control Unit 3 x PDS Seems to be tanking lvl 3 missions without breaking a sweat, and very cheap setup too. I'm aiming to swap everything over for named/tech2 as funds/skills allow, but for now it does the job nicely :) Edit: For tougher missions swap out the AB for another hardener - makes looting slower, but makes you a lot tougher.

So yeah, I'm thinking the setup is quite effective. You stole my setup! (kinda I used named launchers and extenders). I swapped out a extender for a AB after I figured out the missions. Ferox with an AB is painfully slow as it is.

Fr3nzi Caldari hirr Morsus Mihi	Posted - 2006.10.09 16:00:00 - [11] 5 Heavies 2 tractors 3 large shield extenders (Preferably tech 2) 2 hardeners (EM and Invuln will get you through 90% of the missions ) 1 BCU 2 PDU 1 Shield Relay If you don't own every single mission with ease I would be surprised I would ignore the people who suggested 4 large extenders, your resistances would be pretty crappy and you would just end up using more shield, if you get T2 ones it will give you as much as 4 T1 extenders anyway. I rarely went below 50% with the above setup.

Inen Minmatar OLE Mining Corp Miners With Attitude	Posted - 2006.10.10 07:31:00 - [16] Here is my ferox. 5 x "limos" heavy launcher (buying up tech II but spent my money on implants) 2 x tractor beams (makes some loot collecting easier) 3 x rat specific hardners (makes a huge difference with the third hardner) 2 x large shield extender II 2 x BCU II 2 x shield power relay I forgot which mission it is, but there is a mission where if you hit the sentry guns you aggro the whole area. At first I worried but it turns out I was able to tank just about the whole time. I warped out because I had forgotten to switch missiles (was about about 33% shields and holding) and warped back in with no problem. You regen on average about 47 shield / s.
