Ok, this has been happening to me ever since yesterdays patch. I waited until today to post it here to see if today's 'fix' patch made it any better. I have submitted a petition but due to yesterdays patch seeming to break more than it fixed I haven't had a reply yet.
Basically, whenever I hover over a window, be it chat window or even hover over station services the graphics seem to go all fuzzy, its hard to explain. I was brave and undocked, I even tried a mission. But whenever I try to do something that causes an effect, such as lock something (moving arrows towards target on overview) the entire window bugs out. When I tried to lock a rat yesterday the whole overview window sort of turned into a spiral effect, distorting all the names of the rats, making it impossible to target the one I wanted to.
Its bad enough just playing via the station (which is boring as hell) but once undocked the game becomes unplayable (glad I didn't choose pvp to test the waters)
I am using a GeForce GTX 460M.
Nothing else on my laptop has a problem, only eve. |

We are investigating this issue. Our theory is that something in the UI rendering is causing corruption - we've been adding in safeguards to prevent this from crashing the display driver. Now we need to zero in on the root cause, so any details you can give us if you find some specific pattern that triggers this behavior would be most appreciated.
Bug reports with screenshots, logs, and even fraps or other video capture would be very useful. I'd also be curious to know if this happens only in DX11, or in DX9 as well (you can change that setting in the launcher).
See https://wiki.eveonline.com/en/wiki/Logserver and https://wiki.eveonline.com/en/wiki/Bug_reporting for more info. |

Ok changing it to DX9 sorts it out.
Using Dx11 full screen windowed mode makes the game somewhat playable but does not get rid of the problem.
I will update if I find any problems using Dx9. |

I am running Windows 7 with Direct X11 but launcher is saying I am using DX9 without an option to change. I am having trouble with the last two patches not downloading as usual. |

Hit Ctrl+F to bring the FPS display - it also shows you the dx version.
If you filed a report ingame, we get those details automatically. |

I am having this problem as well. I have tried to change the display settings from quality to performance presets and the problem persists in all graphics settings. I am using DX 11. I guess I will go back to DX 9 till a fix comes out. Will you please update this thread when this happens so I can switch back to DX 11? Thanks in advance. ~never not PVP~ |
