I have to admit that after nearly 3 years of playing eve I am becomming a little bit disillusioned with the game.
I thought the new servers would solve the problems of lag/droped connections, I know there are others who feel the same, so I am not going to renew my 6 month subscription...I'm just going to take a 1 month sub and if the probs arnt solved by then I'm afraid I'm going to quit the game.

I'm very sorry to hear that Kye. But no game lasts forever.
I'd add that my motivation is to try and head off the same old, tired "Can I have your stuff?" posts. I doubt I'll be successful :).

These are two completely different problems. The new server cluster works perfectly, but the memory leak, which seems to be intruduced with the 'blood' patch, lags the node out. Once the memory leak is fixed, the performance will return to pre-patch status.

Why wait just go, no sense in just talking about it. Give them time, why don't youtry putting in 70 dual processor servers and youmake sure they work properly. |

Well luckily for me I began my new trail account of this game 2 days before the patch! :)
So I know that the game can be very smooth and fun - so I guess I need to just suck it up and wait for the fixes to come.
Pity it will probably be after my trial has ended !!

I've got multiple accounts - and I'm doing the same with most of them.
I can't see the point in paying for them - if the game stays for too long in it's current state.
I want the ability to be able to not have to pay for a game I won't/can't play due to game server problems, and then be able to start paying again when I believe it is "playable" again.
Sheesh - I wish they had a "pay-by-the-week" plan I could use. |

Can I have all the stuff you get between now and when you quit?
Really, I'm painfully new here but I get the impression that the new servers fixed a lot of old problems, so when this bloodlines patch mess is fixed the game will be in good shape.
Good enough for me to grab a subscription at least.

I just don't get all this whinning and *****ing about the bugs and the lag. And if you have played for 3 years then you know that CCP does one hell've a job fixing these issues. I will try to give you some contrast. Go download and play the Star Wars Galaxies demo. Play it for LONG periods of time. Once you stop playing that piece of crap of a game then come back and play some EVE. You won't cry much about EVE.
It's like *****ing about a minor stubbed toe while standing next to someone who just got shot at close range with a shotgun: stop your *****ing...you aint seen nothing yet.

CCP requested feature please - quite simple really.
For CEOs days since last login details on all members in their Corp. this will help manage inactives and those that dont log in can be removed - |

The servers themselves can handle the load perfectly. The issue currently faced is a memory leak problem, as you can find out in the sticky at the top of the forum. It would be a shame if you left permanantly over a temporary problem.

heya.. NOt all is bad..
Sure the lag atm kills the game.. But iŠm sure the devŠs are working on it.
Do you remember Exodus? the game wasnŠt playable for nearly one week.

As I said im not going to renew my 6 month sub but going to a 1 month and will prob quit if things do not get better

ive been here since beta 2 and palyed since the server went online. i myself have 3 accounts just got the third last month. as the probs with the game go they are small. most games i played you payed for each big patch or upgrade. they just spent alot of cash on new goodies to help us game better. i see no real problums with the game and are staying till this server drops out the last time. so if you cant bear playing thier are other games out thier i guess, but none to match this game by far good luck to you ;;;;
talk is cheap the cost of action is enormus

are you really a 3 year old player? maybe you only played a very small portion of that. not everything always goes as planned, and if you were here in the beginning, you would know that. Its hard to get rid of the "unexpected" parts, so just deal with it
