[quote=Pinky Hops]Just skimming your guide. So far I see a few problems.
Problem 4: You don't mention any specific numbers in your thread involving target scan strength. In general, you should aim for a minimum of 95 base probe strength (it might be a bit less, but I consider that a good target) for scanning down the hardest relic -- the Crystal Quarry. /quote] false iv scanned quary on bomber with 85 core strengh) |

In case my brain didn't fully comprehend after reading all of this; you said that there are no spawns in the data or relic sites in nullsec?
I thought this as well once. But when I was doing a site in Drone space, they spawned after I failed it. I don't know which one precisely it was, thought it was a data. |

holy crap that is a lot of guide just to cover data/relics.
OP, might want to put "profession" sites in the title. "CCP is changing policy, and has asked that we discontinue the bonus credit program after November 7th. So until then, enjoy a super-bonus of 1B Blink Credit for each 60-day GTC you buy!"

Small correction* Your list of data cans by value/difficulty should be : Databank Mainframe Com Tower Info Shard (I've never seen one of these in null though, just HS/LS)
Nice guide. I do a lot of null exploration but still picked up a few new tips :)

Yep, I also had rats spawn on me on a data site after failing in drone space, I freaked out as suddenly my shields dropped, but surprisingly slowly too, they were still there 30 min / hour later. I now try and stay away from drone space, as the drops are bad and I never seem to find a relic site in there.
And awesome guide! A couple of things that seem to be missing is, what rigs to put on your exploration mobile? More scan strength or virus strength? Maybe a bit more information on the different viruses when hacking, and also it's great to go from Highsec to Null via wormholes and back.
And also about the colours of the cans, you can que up a next can but usually it's better to wait until one is green to click the next one I find, it really sucks to accidently move from your spot and move away from all the cans I disagree |

I guess there is some useful information contained in those 10-ish posts, but naming it "Guide to running sites" and then only covering relic/data sites is a bit funny. I aplaud your effort tho. |

+1 and gratz on a job well done.
I actually glanced over most parts of this guide but I also seriously read other parts of it. I can say it's impressive, you definitely spent a lot of time and effort into creating this write-up. I know a lot of work goes into creating a guide, especially when you try to include all the info that's related to the topic.
I basically did the same thing when I first posted the original version of the 'Faction Standing Repair Plan' in the old forums, try to include all info pertaining to the topic. I ended up doing a lot of re-writing and editing to condense it as well as make it user friendly. Eventually it turned into the finished product that's now listed in the Evelopedia.
Just something to think about.

Lots of helpful tips in there. I've just started exploring, did a high sec Data site and got a BPC and some sort of encoding tool, rather than the Carbon and Hydrogen batteries I had been getting before!

Definitely a great guide, which helped me a lot to understand the eve's space-exploration.
I would too encourage you to further clean up the article and create a wiki-article for it. There's some specific data to be included, possibly a "recommended" starter/optimal/tech II fits to be thrown into as well.
Nevertheless, great job! |

Myself and other corpmates have been spending a lot of time exploring, hunting explorers and have picked up some more tips. I did complete a video, but YouTube copyright guys snagged it immediately. I just had some background music playing at a real low volume, for me, and it was still enough to get flagged.
I also have fits for T1 ships in the form of EFT images. I'll add those later today. |
