I have this in a video which is currently still processing on YouTube. When it's finished, I will link it here.
So I caught a mission Harby today in my Ishkur and settled in for a slow-kill. I admit, when he landed, I was expecting neuts, but he had none and the fight was very one sided.
However, I noticed something strange. I didn't notice it right away, when the message first appeared, but when I did notice it, I shut down my NOS immediately. Fortunately, I no longer needed reps, so the NOS was redundant in any case.
The message read:
"Harbinger has defenses against Small Diminishing Power System Drain I so part of its effect is turned on you."
This is the first time I've seen it on anything. In the same video, I was using a NOS against a Navy Drake and a regular Drake and that message never appears, so it's not a battlecruiser feature in general. Is this something special the Harbinger has, or Amarr ships in general? You don't scare me. I've been to Jita. |

And yes this is fairly new, maybe a year and a half old. Don't expect it usually, do ya? >:D The Drake is a Lie |

Yep, one Medium Capacitor Battery II in a midslot on the killmail, thanks for that.
Can a dev move this thread to My EVE? I'll edit the OP for there and report it to get your attention. You don't scare me. I've been to Jita. |

Thanks ISD.... um, oh, wait, you're not an ISD.
In any case, it wasn't originally a My EVE thread. It is now, so it can be moved. I made it pretty clear that I'm entirely aware of where it now belongs, and I've already asked that it be moved, but thanks for redundantly reminding me, some random with no authority. You don't scare me. I've been to Jita. |

Edited OP: Episode two is up. In this episode, a Corax leads me in a chase, a mighty Legion falls, and a faction warfare corp tries to plex in our pocket, and is promptly shown the door. Also, I learn a valuable lesson on PVP, and fighting defensively... You don't scare me. I've been to Jita. |

Episode three is here, but not that much actually, it's been a quiet week and 'gudfites' have been hard to come by. But there is a confused Drake pilot at the end, who thinks RR is an offensive module... larfs ensue. You don't scare me. I've been to Jita. |

while at first the video appears beautiful (close up, no channels etc), after a few minutes of the camera following your ship up close, which is orbiting another ship in circles made me want to puke, so I stopped watching it (episode 4) - also, speed up your vids.... 2x speed please :) OMGROFLSTOMP

Do you regularly operate without your overview or selected item window on screen? Im assuming you lock targets by clicking on them in space, or is that just for the videos? Looked up...saw this F***ING clown dropping like a rock.-á Woke up in Vylade wondering what just happened!!! |

I use two monitors. My overview, chats, and other menus open on the right monitor. I fraps the whole thing, then crop it in half to keep sensitive intel out of it. You don't scare me. I've been to Jita. |

The fit was experimental. As far as I'm aware, target painter helps with hitting a target, regardless of the weapon being used, because it increases the target's signature radius. As is shown here, signature radius is included in the tracking equation for guns, therefore the target painter is more beneficial than a web at kiting ranges with artillery. You don't scare me. Started watching episode 5 and stopped watching after the first fight. You start the fight shooting hail at a corax and then an arty thrasher comes in and doesn't move. Instead of approaching him at an angle you retardedly decide to approach with 0 transversal and die. That's not a "you win some you lose some" that's a "you're ******* awful." |

That was a "he had me disrupted and was going to kite me and if I had any hope of avoiding that, I had to get closer as fast as I could because I'm fit for brawling". Granted, I was aware that zero transversal was going to be a big risk, but it was one I decided to take. If that's all you've seen though to base your criticism off, then it's irrelevant anyway. But thanks for making me aware of something I'm already aware of, it was enlightening.
And as if I'm going to waste ten seconds switching ammo just for a Corax.
I never claimed to be a wonderful, elite pvp'er. In fact, I'm well and truly aware that I'm still in the process of learning. These videos are that learning process. I do know, however, that I'm not awful. You don't scare me. I've been to Jita. |

Whilst it is nice to see someone posting videos without the usual dub step soundtrack over the top of an active diemos with links/pills soloing terrible cruiser pilots I have the following points for you.
- I have to agree with others that been zoomed in that close ALL the time is a little vomit inducing.
- All of the fights you show where against some terrible pilots. It was like watching a very "stylish" video of mission running.
- The one semi-decent fight you had against a Corax and a Thrasher (the one where you died) showed some poor tactical decisions by yourself. Never approach a thrasher like that. At least attempt to spiral in, clicking approach and then orbit is not elite PvP.If you insist on using an AB on a brawling ship then use your small sig radius to your advantage. You may well have died anyhow but I guess you'll never know.
- Prepare yourself for more criticism in the future as I know it feels like your being an ultimate badass, roaming low sec and killing people, but basically you are running on to the special bus and cracking as many skulls as you can with a baseball bat before the police arrive.....sometimes with friends.
Anyway, dont take it personally. You post stuff on the internet and people will comment. Sometimes it will be nice and sometimes not so much. As long as your having fun keep doing it. I wont be watching anymore though. |

And I welcome the criticism. I learn from it. However, so far, most of it has been delivered based on assumption rather than actually knowing exactly what happened or being in my head at the time, or even without at least asking me what I was thinking, or what I have learned. A lot of it makes the assumption that I think I'm awesome, or elite. And a lot of it then proceeds to insult me rather than actually construct upon what I've learned so far.
I am aware that I cannot stop that kind of commentary. I can, however, choose to ignore it.
I am also seeing a lot of people who are happy to criticise, for example, how I lost a Jaguar, but few for giving kudos for instead of just putting up all my wins, including a loss here and there as well. And virtually no one comments on when I actually fly well.
And I may end up having to repeat this over and over, but the audience I post these videos for enjoy the close ups and angles that I fraps them in. If you don't enjoy them, then they're not for you anyway. You don't scare me. I've been to Jita. |

Are you using an off grid booster in these fights? I didn't notice anything specifying one way or the other. |

Not when I'm alone, no. When I'm with others, such as when taking down the Tengu in the 3rd video, they may put a booster up, but we might not necessarily be in a fleet together, either.
The last fight in the 5th video, the guy I duelled specifically requested we fleet up together, so that we would know that no one was benefitting from boosts - just me vs him, ship vs ship. I felt it was actually a perfectly reasonable request, and agreed to it, and we fought in a fleet of just the two of us in squad member positions. You don't scare me. I've been to Jita. |
