Today I passed by a stargate and i saw a wreck of a freighter, there was 370km3 Oxygen isotopes in it. about 1B isk. but the wreck is yellow and a loki was there. so i cant pick up directly. then a good idea occured to me, I fly a rookie ship and drop a tritanium beside the wreck, i put the oxygen isotopes from the wreck to my container. and then i come back and just wait until the criminal countdown over. but when i went back, i found my containers disappeared, 300m oxgen TAT, all of them were missing....and i lost 2 rookie ships for looting the wreck. so i wonder if i put the yellow wreck into my container, will my containers turned legal for everyone to pick up? or just someone loot them illegal and ran away, and when i docked in the station, i'm still thinking abt how to loot those yellow wreck. so if i launch a MTU for myself in the high sec, can other ppl attack it? and will the MTU be able to track the yellow wrecks and loot the items automaticlly?
rest in peace my rookie ship =A= |

Yes, suspects can be freely looted, this prevents can baiting miners by stealing their **** and then dropping it in your own can to temp them into stealing back and flagging themselves for PVP.
Also yes, all of the new structures can be shot down freely in all security space, the depot, however will go into reinforced mode. Assuming that the depot survives the onlining process, a depot shot while onlining will not reinforce.
Also anyone shooting the new structure will become a suspect for doing so. The Drake is a Lie |

If you take from someone elses can and put it in your own then anyone else can take it due to your suspect flag. It was part of the changes to can-flipping that came in with crimewatch 2.0.
CCP Masterplan wrote:Stealing from a container will expose you to potential attacks from all players (but not from sentry guns). The existing rules for what constitutes 'legal access' to a container are the same (I am the owner of the container, I am in the corp registered to the container, I am in the fleet registered to the container, The container is Abandoned), but we are adding one additional rule: If I can legally attack the owner of a container, then I can legally take from the container.
Source: http://community.eveonline.com/news/dev-blogs/73443 Malcanis' Law - Whenever a mechanics change is proposed on behalf of new players, that change is always to the overwhelming advantage of richer, older players. The corollary is that when new players propose a change, they invariably lack the experience and insight to see how the change would again be exploited by older players far more efficiently than themselves. |

if you want to grab stuff like that, there is no way to avoid getting it and not suffering from the suspect bit.
The best way to do this, grab a large industrial, move so whatever you want to grab is in a line with a warpable location, then grab it and quickly warp off before someone scrams your now suspect hauler.
Note that you can't grab stuff while in warp or preparing to warp, so you have to grab first, then warp.

Within the last 48 hours?
If so then fair enough, but I can assure you that when I steal from wrecks, this is the mechanism I use

I don't know when they changed it or how but I tried it yesterday and the wreck wouldn't open while I was in warp. Had to cancel warp, loot and then warp again. I definitely remember this being possible before. Moderate strength is shown in violence, supreme strength is shown in levity. |

Sorry should have been clearer
The post I replied to mentioned "preparing to warp"

Just grab it in whatever ship your flying and dock with the closest station for 15 minutes, suicidally charging a procurer towards a station with 20m of random stuff is always a blast Stupid forum posts become my MS-Paint art, send me some stupid posts if you see them |

whats the go with a mobile tractor unit from taking a yellow wreck and looting it but not becoming suspect in its own right?
I have heard ofthis happening, basically it allows for passive stealing with no penalty, but penalises anyone who shoots it in return? seems a little skewed and.. really odd.
If a person goes yellow for looting a yellow wreck, a player deployed object should, as well, for the same reason |

I was flying to meet with some incursion buddies who were sniping yellows in highsec recently, one of them killed a frigate that had a plex on board, the wreck was taken by a tractor unit and looted, my buddy then killed the unit trying to get the plex back but it didnt drop twice. He went suspect in the process of shooting it |

Then it glitched, bugged or exploited

Maybe the frigate was part of the same corp or fleet as the tractor unit or the frig pilot was already a suspect - just because it was yellow to you doesn't mean it was yellow to the tractor unit. |
