Have you ever wanted to live in a world where you can lie on the warm sands under the gentle warmth of the sun, safe in the knowledge that you are secure from harm? Have you ever wanted to taste the sweetest nectar against your lips or refresh yourself with water so pure that you feel your thirst is quenched with one single drop?
All of this is what we offer you..
For three years, a small group of Minmatar Citizens have been working heavily on constuction of a new world, many of those citizens were once freedom fighters for the Minmatar people. Tired from the constant endless battle against Amarr Slavers, a decision was made to create a world where safety of the inhabitants is paramount.
Yesterday afternoon, decleration of independence was submitted to the Minmatar Republic on behalf of the founders of New Eden. Witnessing this event were representatives of the Servant Sisters of EVE who played a neutral part in the formal decleration.
It is with pleasure that I humbly present to you the EDEN Republic.
Construction on our homeworld is continuing at a fast pace, with new hands brought in daily to help the developments. Many freed slaves have joined our cause as Citizens of a free Republic, and are now helping to lay the founding corner stones of our future democracy.
On the formal event opening of our first major city on our homeworld, the Republic Senate will convene for the first time to draft the formal constitution that will govern the Republic.
I will be pleased to bring you news of this event in the very near future.

((OOC: I have formed a corporation that is taking on the role of a Republic. Currently I am working on the development of the website for the Republic that will house everything and anything to do with EDEN, along with a fully intergrated political system that will allow members to participate in the decision making for the Republic.
The Republic will house all player types, from manufacturers to PvP'ers and *Pirates. I am developing the backstory and systems, and hope to have them up soon for your scrutiny. If anyone would like to help in anyway to develop this new fledgling Republic, then please feel free to contact me via Eve-mail.))

Greetings Amarr.
The very construct of the EDEN Republic forbids trade of any kind with the Amarr Empire.
The Republics borders will remain closed to all Amarr and Caldari pilots until the senate has convened to draw a constitution detailing border controls.

Please Amarr,
Do not be so quick to pass judgement on me or the Republic. I am arbitrator for the Republic Senate.
Your claim that we are racist goes beyond belief Amarr, if it was not for you and your kind, the founders of Eden would not have had to leave their homes to build a safe haven away from Amarr grip.

Our borders are closed to Caldari and Amarr for good reason. The Amarr seek to enslave us, while the Caldari seek to exploit us. We shall bow to neither.
The Eden Republic does not wish to rely upon or become a mass economic entity. We wish to live in a safe environment, where our citizens suffer no more. Our planets have enough bio-diversity to provide a varied diet to our people and aslong as we meet this need, then we do not need to open up further trade routes.
Due to the fact that the Eden Republic is in it's infancy, we do not wish to release information that may be used to exploit our citizens or our new home. We shall release more information when the necessary protocols have been placed.
For your eyes, I will however release our own Internal Galnet, which will give you some information as to where we stand.

A seperatist group of Minmatar- the idea intrigues me. Will this be a type of "Minmatar Republic Lite", or be a whole new kind of society?
For the record- Amarrians are not racist in my opinion Verone. They simply have a different view of the Minmatar, viewing them as subhuman. And that's an HONEST opinion of theirs. The same for the Matari- they were (and still are) exploited by the Amarrians, so their hatred is understandable. As for the Caldari- personally, I would make every opportunity to trade with them. Your choice though.

How does this differ from the defunct PRM that was created over a year ago?
And I would respectfully suggest that makeing enemies of all of the great empires is not the way for a 'new republic' to start out, and all you need to do now is insult the Gallente and you will have accomplished that.

For any republic to become an enemy of Amarr would first require that it were significant enough to warrant such attention.
This "organization" is not and, given it's current stand on economic policy, never will be.

Let me clarify the Republics position.
Due to suffering sustained by some of our citizens at the hands of the Amarr Empire, we have chose to enforce a system wide block on all Amarr pilots entering our space.
With the current relations between Amarr and Caldari being as they are, and the Caldari's appetite for exploitation, we have also made the decision to block all Caldari from entering our space.
The Republic does not consider the Caldari State or the Amarr Empire as enemies, we do however throw caution to our diplomatic relations with these empires. Until such time that the Eden Senate has convened and established protocols and laws governing the permissions of Caldari and Amarr in our space, enforcement of the block will continue.
As I have previously stated, the Eden Republic does not wish to become an economic entity. We wish to create a safe and stable environment for our citizens. That is our aim and that is what we have set out to do.
Currently all space surrounding the Eden Republic is heavily enforced by our own security forces and a no fly zone has been drawn until such time that the senate passes laws governing our space. We cannot, for security reasons, permit outsiders to enter into our space until the said security measures are in force.
We will be happy to play host to many pilots on the official opening of our Capital city "The Metropolis", where we will host a grand event.
Myself and the people of the Eden Republic hope that you can respect our decision to take this path. We wish you well and give our humble regards.

I intend to visit this EDEN Republic and its no-fly zone. Marking off space to the Amarr people echo's "terrorist training grounds" and your space WILL be monitored, whether you like it or not. While I will not agress you simply because of your non-Amarr policy, I will seek out anyone who is building up against the Empire, and will swiftly deal with anyone who would foolishly try to stope me.
Go ahead and build your little isolationist state, but know that it will be watched! For God, Empire, and Sarum! |

Blocked off huh? And how exactly would you keep a Caldari out? For that matter, why are you basing it on race? There are some Gallente pilots, many even, who it would be far worse to ahve in your space. Wouldn't actual alignment and security status be a far better basis, ven if still imperfect? -------------- Director. Caldari Patriot. Murderer of (his own) Frigates. |

Amarr, I fail to see your need to make threats against us. We are not terrorists and we do not play host to any terrorist training grounds. You have my assurance. I can however state that Amarr ships will not be permitted into our space, as I have previously stated.
If you wish to deploy probes into our space to monitor our activities and if that makes you feel more at ease, then please do so. But know this, we will conduct scans of all probes within our space and we will destroy any that are found to be harbouring military devices.
As for not trusting some Gallente. We do have good relations with the diplomatic offices within the Gallente Federation. Both our security services and that of the federation are running clearence checks on all those pilots before they are permitted access to our space.
I have asked that you respect our current policies while we are in our infancy. Do that and we shall show the same respect in kind.

Hmmm, seems to me your basing your Republic on the same foundations which you say you hate.
You declare all Amarr and Caldari as not wanted. So those that fight at the side of the Ushra Kahn are now forbidden aswell.
And as a Caldari businessman I don't exploit my customers, that would only drive them into the hands of the competition.
Isk is a sweet thing, it has no race, no religion and no opinion as who has it, it's the most profound thing in existance if you look at it well enough.
Isk doesn't demand, long for or order anything. It just is and just by being there it holds more power in itself then anything else.
Name one Empire or Corporation that can function without the beauty of transactions and the Isk involved.
But I am wandering off in my mind. Your Republic will fail for one reason and one reason alone. You have a too narrow vieuw of things.
Better to try and fail, then to fail due to not trying |

I am Senator Veyal of the New Eden Republic.
At this moment in time as our ambassador has already stated, our space is closed to pilots who are not citizens of the Republic. This is to allow construction of our home to be continued without interruption or fear of exploitation.
Once construction has been completed, we will open our space to all pilots, providing that the Eden Senate has reached agreement on the controls to put in place to govern access to our space.
You must understand that many of our citizens have suffered at the hands of the Amarr and this is what we as a republic have sworn to protect them from. We do not tarnish all Amarr with the same brush, but we will implement procedures to run background checks on all pilots before they enter our space to conduct business.
The Republics foundations is not that of greed and we certainly need ISK in order for us to trade and survive. We have our own established trade and industries that will provide us with sufficient ISK to operate.
We have given ample notice that our space is temporarily closed to non-citizens. Any ship entering our borders will be stopped and asked to turn around, failure to do so will result in the destruction of the said vessel. This is not an act of aggression but an act of defense and protection as we establish our community.
We have asked that you respect our current protocols and that in time we will gladly welcome you into our space.
Myself and Ambassador Chel will be happy to address any further questions you have, but we make our current position clear.
