well, ccp released the CA-3andCA-4 out, but i'm wondering what can the implants provide?or is it really useful? I find Genolution CA3/4 implants are so expensive. but It seems not very useful for doing missions, or in pvp?or in a battle? who will go out to fight when pluged such implants in their brain? u can use Crystal, Slave or Snake Implants and they do really help when u r in a fighting, but what Genolution CA could do ? 1.5% shield extend? or provide 1.5% armor hp?? let's talk about this Gen-CA-Series if they are really useful? |

You're right. You'd be crazy to buy CA 3/4s and go out with them right now at their current price, when there are more useful implant sets out there. But I'm quite sure CA 3/4s will be given out like the 1/2s are now, and their price will drop. What we'll be left with, then, is basically a set of PG/CPU fitting implants that also give small bonuses to practically everything -- and that's really pretty cool. |

Hypothetically, if the supply of the implants suddenly increased, then the prices would almost certainly plunge. One of the ways the supply of an item can be increased is by giving it away as a holiday gift. I wonder what gifts the Yule Lads may have in store for us.

Bear in mind that the CA-3 and CA-4 provide extra boosts to the bonuses on the CA-1 and CA-2. That extra CPU, Powergrid, and capacitor can make a WORLD of difference in terms of what you fit (which can give you extra tank, offense, longer MWD life, etc). Change isn't bad, but it isn't always good. Sometimes, the oldest and most simple of things can be the most elegant and effective. |

A full set of genos (CA1 - 4) gives you, in addition to a bunch of small bonuses to various ship stats, 5% CPU and 5% PG. This can be further combined with existing CPU/PG implants for up to 10% more PG or CPU.
That is by a wide margin the best thing about them, and it's pretty awesome to have that level of fitting flexibility. |
