So me and a few guys have a corp that it's main goal is to not be in high sec and go into low sec.
We are going to do some PvP and maybe go onto FW but we want to get the corp stable in Low Sec first. Can anyone help on the best way to move this high sec corp into low sec. We have very little pvp experience, a fuel duels here and there but that is about it.
Any help would be much appreciate :) |

-Don't get attached to your sec status. It will go down.
-Don't fly expensive ships. You will eventually lose them no matter what, and you will definitely lose them often if you're new to lowsec PVP and don't know what you're doing.
-Don't be a ***** about fights. You won't become good at PVP by only fighting stuff that you know beyond a shadow of a doubt you can kill. Fight stuff that you're not sure about, and try to use your ship and piloting knowledge to gain that last advantage
-If you have to copy/paste fits from Battleclinic and don't know how to come up with your own, you don't truly know how the ship works and how to get the most out of it.

Any help would be much appreciate :) Figure out a good source of low sec income first, then move. This low sec income can be: 1. Missions from low sec agents. 2. Anomalies 3. FW plexes and missions.
Use evemaps.dotlan.net to scout out some potential locations: Example
http://evemaps.dotlan.net/map/Essence#kills24
Vitrauze (for example) has a L4 Federation Navy Academy Agent, and very little current pvp activity. It also has a factory and a cloning facility. It also has multiple low sec access points through Denninard, so you won't be gate camped as much as guys who try to live in OMS.
http://evemaps.dotlan.net/station/Vitrauze_XI_-_Moon_2_-_Federal_Navy_Academy_School
Next, get your cheap T1 frig or cloaky frigate out there and scout the locations out.
Once you figure out where you want to live, use a Courier Service such as Black Frog Logistics to move all your stuff there without having to worry about getting camped or spending an inordinate amount of time moving ships one-by-one.
Finally, get to know the people who live in the area. Make friends. Get into intel channels. You'll lose fewer ships to camps. Also, make friends with your pvp opponents. They'll be your friends later on. |

if you want to stay on certain area you should know who lives there, what they usually do, what they fly, who are killing you, who you can kill and so on. When you know people around you can see easily from local who is new and maybe possible new target etc...

Get your dudes in cheap ass frigates, meta modules are fine. Go engage ANYTHING that is not in a gate / station. Stick together, don't get seperated, and all try to fly according to a certain role. Tackle, DPS and EWAR come to mind. Stick to gate and stations when you want to travel, avoid them if you want to fight. Evaluate every encounter afterwards. Strive for excellence flying these cheap, replaceable ships before you ship up to bigger classes.
Give fights, type GF in local if you at least had some fun, GG when you get ganked. Make some friends. Do some shady business. Laugh heartily while hisec grinds itself to sleep and nullsec obsesses over the names in the top left corner of the screen. Get drunk. Buy tons of ships, blow them up, have fun and don't spend too much lest you find yourself ratting belts in a Cruiser again.
And most of all just don't give up, if you are new to lowsec times can be hard but I've found that if you bring the fights you usually get to keep (most of) your space stuff because lowsec is more fun when things explode. Oh, and absolutely MASTER your d-scanner! |

All good advice above. I just want to repeat two things for emphasis:
First: don't fly expensive stuff. Just because you are in a T1 frigate doesn't mean you are a noob, and just because you are in something expensive doesn't mean you are pro. And vice versa upsidedownies. T1 frigates are the best place to learn. Fly cookie cutter fits at first, and then experiment. It's an entirely new meta lately, and you might just discover something awesome.
Second: Like the man said - engage everything that isn't on a station or gate. Sec status and the hope of re-docking your ship be damned. It's why you fly cheap stuff at first. Top 5 players in NBA missed shots are all in the Hall of Fame, etc., etc. It took me too damn long to learn this lesson.

What hasn't been mentioned yet is how to resupply yourselves. If you actually blow up ships often, your sec status will be troublesome to get into highsec and you might end up having (many) killrights attached. Basically 2 options: have Jumpfreighter character(s) in corp (not actually _in_ corp unless you want to face troubles with wardecs) to move in supplies, or some jita alts and use 3rd-party services.
As for the moving part: either make ops to fly ships in together or use carriers as the movers for already fitted stuff. |

You can also refrain from killing pods senselessly, and spend 10% of your time ratting Battleships and clone rats. It is not hard to keep your sec stat level and avoid killrights against you. Bait agression if you want a (legal) shot at the pod. I do my own logistics most of the time, it's worthwhile to train up for a blockade runner. |

What are you talking about? Highsec is the scary place. In highsec you are surrounded by neutrals who could insta-pop you without warning. In lowsec, if you see anybody you know they are coming for you. I couldn't tell you how many times I pooped my pants in highsec after jumping a gate and seeing 40 ships on the other side while in a freighter. Really, this. As long as you aren't podding every single noobship and t1 cruiser pilot you see, sec status won't be an issue.
Travel fits for moving ship hulls will work wonders.
Blockade runner can handle enough modules/drones to easily supply an entire trade hub where you feel like basing, they're also super fast for running to trade hubs for good prices and don't need a scout.
Start PVE-ing in the area and get to know who the locals are, get an intel channel, have buddies around for backup. If you guys are new, taking groups to do exploration content is probably a good thing as well. Get everyone good at flying t1 cruisers. Take some time to appraise the PI situation, and decide if you can get low taxes or if its worth making POCO takeover a priority. Maybe get a pos so you guys have a safe place to assemble in case someone tries camping you in station. If you get a decent presence in your home system, lowsec mission-running can be a relatively safe income source as well as an efficient collaborative activity. Make sure everyone has a good PVP ship available and work on response times. Try to encourage people to live in your lowsec area. If people are spending all their time on hisec market alts or mining or doing hisec level 4's, they're not contributing. Sorry i couldnt bother reading past the 5'th post of advice so maybe what i say will be a repeat , still my advice .
Pretty sure other people told you some of these things but just to be sure its true and its important ,
A) You need to create 1 or 2 alts , either yourself or have another corp mate or mates to help you . Those alts need to take care of your logistics because 1. your sec will drop 2. you will get wardecced eventually .
So having alt as logistics makes your life easier , also multibox ftw .
B) As i mentioned above , if you want to get in to pvp you might aswell forsake your sec status , unless your prepared to purchase or spend several hours hunting tags to improve it.
C) To know pvp is to have experience , that means you need to get out there and to not get discouraged when u lose and also when u lose alot . Best and easiest way to get experience is to take your group in to FW area in frigs and dessies . There are several ships + fits that can be cheap and effective. And just do , simple as that , and will also prepare you for when you decide to join FW.
D) Know thy neighbors . You might move in to a system where nearby might live a pirate or pvp corp , they see you and obv they won't mind tryin to kill you cause let face it , who wouldnt wanna pick on someone thats not theyr size right ? So , before you move to a ls system and u've never done pvp before , i recommend you scout systems before moving, take the time to use the eve map aswell as it gives you some pretty good info to start off .
E) Find out what you can do for profit . Pvp is awesome but even when doing in cheap stuff it needs isk to be achieved , more so when u start to get good at it and you wanna go out in shinier ships . So some examples of profits in low sec 1. FW -- its very profitable , basicly its the single activity where you can pew and pay for it at the same time . 2. PI -- find yourself a system with some nice planets and build PI on them , its not much but if you have good skills should net u somethin good 3. Exploration -- its not alot of profit per say , depends on luck and how much time you place in it , but to sponsor frigs and dessies it works . 4. Missions --- if you have the balls and the scouts to do it , run lvl 4 missions in low sec .Right now you can take advantage of rubicon and if you get ganked or are in the middle of beeing ganked just drop the mobile " space fitter " ( forgot the damn name ) and refit your ship with warp stabs , and be off . Best thing about this is because of low sec you can't get bubbled , bad thing is because its low sec you got a higher chance of beeing blobed . ( because in null sec you got intel channels ) 5. Wormholes -- they are not a low sec per say but if u find wormholes and wanna run sites you have the benefit of only worring about the hole's owners ( not double worry about other people coming through hs and most people are not curious of wh's from low sec , imo ) 6 Gate camping and ransoming :) , this one speaks for itself
F) Pew pew and pew some more , then join FW or become pirates or just simple low sec pvp corp , but remember to pew !
Thats all i got , good luck !

Make a few safe spots in any system you operate in and change them regularly.
Watch D-Scan
Look into faction war, it's a good way to make isk to cover the cost of the many ships your going to lose starting out.
Try to keep your ships as cheap as possible because they will all die with alarming regularity while your starting out.
Don't use expensive implants until you can use jump clones.
Try to get involved with fleets run by experienced FC's, again faction war militia's are going to have regular fleets that anyone can join.
Start with cheap t1 frigates, new players are always tempted to go for slow tanky ships, but fast agile mwd frigates can usually disengage where a tankier frigate will almost always be committed to the fight |

Welcome to the playgrounds.
All advice above is good. Just a few observations to add. Knowing an area is huge. Tactics are different in different areas. So know thy opponent is huge. You'll start to notice very definite trends - like the constant booster, etc.
Expect initially to get schooled - it's a necessary step as you transition from a non-pvp high sec life. In addition, if you live in FW low, learn the plex mechanics - especially in regards to warping to fleet mates.
Finally stick 2 it and be persistent. Have the will to become successful low sec dwellers and go red flashy. |

---Before even scouting/entering a low sec system, click on the Info button of said System, then check it's Sovereignty.
Not always helpful AFTER you jumped, but checking on the ship/pod kills from the last 24 hours will give you a slight boost in data and research while scouting.
---Always leave something comical or odd in your cargo, like 1 unit of Tobacco. Why? So when you get blasted by a T2 Cruiser, you can ask them for your smokes back, and it creates a hilarious window of opportunity.
Sounds cheesy, but hey, it worked for me and our conversation was memorable afterwards.

If you're lazy and smart, you'll set up clones in Hek, which is a trade hub and 0.5 system (meaning your sec has to take a pretty nasty dive before the empire cops shoot you) and then you're just two jumps from Resbroko which is the way in to the Amarr/Minmatar warzone (look on evemaps.dotlan.net for special FW maps) and then you just need to turn off your safety and click on everything that moves. I wouldn't bother reading up too much on mechanics and strategies because you'll forget it all in the heat of the moment anyway. Fly cheap stuff at first, take each loss with grace and eventually the mechanics just become second nature. My terribad blog where I QQ and rage about Amarr FW |

If you are fairly new to low-sec I have two pieces of advice:
1) Consider joining an alliance already positioned in low-sec.
or
2) Find some place quiet for your first move into low-sec. Most of the groups in active areas will rolfstomp you. |
