Well see me subject for my problem. This nagging thing started 2 days ago, though it had somthing to do with tha lagging issues and all. So I waited for the 3900 patch to see if that would eleviate the problem. Not at all.
What happens: -I log in, no problems there, client loads all attributes etc w/o errors. -Loading bar in "Logging In" runs to full, where at that point the client should normally switch to char selection window. But doesn`t. -Client itself is still responsive.
Same problem persists after a fresh install of the EVE client.
Now before I shoot of to the costomer support with this question, maybe someone esle has a probable solution to help me out. It seems to me it is something in windows, though I haven`t installed any prog/etc/whatever in the last 6 days, what it could be I dunno.
Thanks

I had that problem once and it was a proxy or firewall problem. Actualy I was in a another country where the internet is not as free as it should be and I used sockscap to connect to eve via a socks proxy through a http proxy (yeah, possible). I could login and all just the char selection never came up. Something might partly block your request to eve. What kind of connection u use?

Got a 500kb/s cable connection from a national cable/dsl provider here, never had a problem with`em with any online game whatsoever. I am also behind a router, but I haven`t changed any of the setting since my IPS switched to dhcp instead of pps and that was 1 year ago.
So either my ISP is blocking the EVE server, or womething else is borked here.

Same thing, and alot of others are having the same problem in other threads. Deleting cache and even re-installing the client hasn't helped anyone so far afaik. It's not a firewall problem either. The errors in the logserver file have somthing to do with getting cached objects, but like I said, deleting cache solves nothing. I have petitioned and so far nothing but the canned auto response. I really hoping I don't have to wait the usual 2 weeks for a response on this. Normally I'd just do something else until it got fixed, but I was supposed to get a character transferred to me today and now I have no way to contact the seller. This may also have something to do with the many drops/ctd we had yesterday corrupting some file, but I'm not savvy enough to determine that. Just seems like a trend in the previous posts and from those that started getting the problem yesterday before the patch after getting dropped/ctd multiple times.

I don't frequent internet cafes, but wouldn't that require installing the Eve client on their machine?

Liquid dreams filled her mind as she found herself sinking into an eternal ocean of blood. An ocean she had created over the severed flesh of her assigned targets. |
