Hi,
I've recently been using different teamwork setups, based on the different remote transfers available. (Cap/Shield/Armor/tracking etc.)
At the moment its a fairly risky buisness even with people who are used to working together. The chance of 'Friendly Fire' incidents is way too high.
I have filed a bug report regarding issues with drones attacking gang members, which may be exacerbated by using remote transfers, but it would be very useful if there was a way of 'Friendly' locking or marking a locked target as friendly. This should cancel/prevent return auto locking and prevent 'Friendly Fire' incidents.
IMO, to use any remote transfers in fleets/skirmishes other than at a safespot between fights would be suicide, and that I think is a shame.

Personally, I think Concord has been dipping into the Quafe supplies too often.
The way it should be set up is that Concord does not respond to GANG or CORP damage.
If I gang with someone, and it should not matter if they are in my corp or not, I shouldn't get a response from concord for any act of 'friendly fire' that may or may not occur. I lost a ferrox the other night because one of my gang mate's drones wandered a whopping 8km off course and into the field of effect from my medium smartbomb. The smartbomb wasnt doing anything to the enemy ships (the ones in range had ecently been destroyed and the rest were 3+km out of range) and this silly drone came right at me, like it was in attack mode (but it wasnt locked on to me). Right after it got hit once (i turned off the SB when i saw it coming, the end of the cycle got the drone) it made a sharp turn (as it went aggro on me for a brief instant) and headed off to the real enemy.
Tuning Concord out of gang 'friendly fire' would open up a situation more experienced players from Corp X could train the new players in Corp Y in combat without either of them having to join the other corp. It would also prevent problems like those above, especially since Drones are whacked and do whatever the heck they want right now.
That drone had no reason to be where it was. There were NO enemies on the other side of me from the drone's trajectory. It was not locked on me (until it got into my SB blast). Yet it came RIGHT AT ME, like it was going to orbit or attack. Gang members should be free to attack one another (or transfers), accidentally or on purpose, just like corp members are.

It used to be like this, but they removed allowing you to shoot people in your gang because of all the greifing that occured.
What we should have is the ability to set a target as friendly/passive, and then only assistance modules can be used on them (the same ones that bring up the message 'Using this module on a criminal will make you a criminal').

Edited by: Drizit on 11/03/2006 20:38:14 It would be easier not to have to target them at all. Much easier to hit the module and then select the ship that you want it to work on. No targetting gang/corp members at all would mean no chance of friendly fire.
Not having to target them also means Covops ships can carry these mods and assist others while still cloaked. -- My idea of an OS is one that Operates the System, not a complete package of every piece of software ever written. A second or third line of targets for friedly ships would be great. The targets in that group should not be hittable with offensive measures and your drones should follow the rules too. --*=*=*-- Megadon CCP wanted a well known artist and celebrity to test the new font so it's approval would be well known. this is more what I was getting at, rather than concord response to non-corp gang members..

I believe concord should be a bit less unforgiving. I mean you should have the option of consentual duel that's code could be tied into "allow gang damage" markers (that would give a colour code to the ships in space/overview. Smartbombs should effectively damage everything near you, friend or foe, even yer own drones, it's just how they work. I lost a comet newly aquired to a concord responce EVEN THOUGH both ships I was fighting with were a) consentual participants and b) flashing red... I was being nos'd by the guy I attacked that got me cordganked.
