Today I noticed that you're promoting "EVE: THE SECOND DECADE COLLECTOR'S EDITION" for 99.99 USD / 99.99 Euro from the launcher.
Why do europeans have to pay 136.72 USD for the same package as americans get for 99.99 USD? It's not the VAT, as that would total up to only 115 USD.
99.99 USD is, with todays exchange rates, 73 Euro.

tldr: the Euro price already includes the tax (VAT)... for the US it is "$99 + tax" (because each US state has a different sales tax). Change isn't bad, but it isn't always good. Sometimes, the oldest and most simple of things can be the most elegant and effective. |

You use U.S. dollars in Europe?
Secondly; show a little respect and capitalize country names. I can see that your shift key isn't broken. So use it.

Hmm... then i wonder why i can buy CD keys from US sites (not just for EVE, but any game, steam cd keys etc) for much much lower price.
For example if i want to buy any game directly on Steam i need to pay 50 eur while americans need to pay just 50usd (36 eur).... I wonder then why i can buy cd keys from 3rd party sites and pay jut 50 usd (36eur).
This "US dont have VAt included" Bullsh.. is nonsense
As well as this "US dont have 2y warranty" .... They are selling Software, not vacuum cleaners for f.. sake...
Also its interesting that this "VAT included" bullsh... is always 1:1 (EUR to USD), no matter what exchange rate of both those currencies is.

Mr Epeen Poor capitalization aside, I think he means that once you remove the VAT from the 99 EUR package (~83 EUR, VAT at 20%) it converts into about 115 USD - so pre tax, the US version is a bit cheaper. Do not argue with an idiot. He will drag you down to his level and beat you with experience.

The USD = EUR is an often applied scam by almost all game companies.
It's done simply because they can, they know they're making europeans pay more, even though we already have the highest tax (almost 50% in my country), but we pay it anyway since we're given only two choices, pay or don't play. |

The price is determined by what the market will bear. Europeans are used to being shafted in this manner, it makes them feel superior and wealthier than their colonial friends. So bend over and take it once again. |

General tax margin for a US state is between 9 and 14%.... if i remember from my tenure there.
This would work out at between 109 and 115 dollars, with vat.
The OP is correct that the Euro version, is about 20 dollars more than that.
For fellow Brits who wanted a REAL money price.... I think I worked it out yesterday at -ú90.80 including delivery.
Yes, it sucks.... not as bad as Aussies get it.... but...
