Just got offered this mission for the first time. Can't do it right now cause I have to go to work. Will wait to accept it when I get home. Just wondering what I can expect. I remember a while back people complaining about how hard this one was. I will be flying a Brutix.

Edited by: Cade Morrigan on 11/03/2006 01:43:05 What is tough about this mission is the Mercenary Commanders do a lot of EM damage and the Mercenary Wingmen warp scramble you. If you're well tanked against EM and Thermal you should do fine, just kill the wingmen first in case you need to warp out.

In a Brutix, mainly tank against thermal (tanking EM as well would be a bonus) and you should be fine. Stay out of 40km range of the missile towers in part 1, and make sure you kill the towers first in part 2.

Black market hub L3 seems to have been nerfed hard last patch (or soft, however you like it).
Last three times I got it, no webbers or scramblers at either stage, and the few Mercenary Commanders and Fighters that are left are a joke.
No comparison anymore to missions like Spy Stash or Massive Attack.

This is a really easy mission (and has always been) for the ammount of LPs you get, one of the better paying missions if your main objective to to make as many LPs/hour as possible.

I do have a question about this mission though.... I am a returning EVE player who has been away since last year (playing World of Warcraft with my family). When I returned, a lot of new, and rather cool stuff has been added. As a result I find myself in the odd position of being a 'noob'.... with three Battleships
Anyways.... I came to The Black Market Hub and got pretty close to owned in my shiny Tempest (imagine my shock when I found out my Siege launchers can't load Cruise Missiles anymore.... in the middle of combat). As a result, once I got myself repaired and spent all my money for the 'right' launchers, I returned to the mission with a vengeance... literall
I came back and wiped out literally EVERYTHING I could target. This means I killed all the fighters, commanders and anything else that was attacking me. I then destroyed all the cruise missle launchers, the security station, the shipyard and the industrials near them. See, I was gonna make sure NUTHIN was gonna bother me. Unfortunately, I think blowing up the industrials was a mistake, as I found no secured containers anywhere.
Is the mission irretrievable at this point?

The mission objective is to destroy the Docked Bestower. Its can should contain the secured containers you need to pick up.

The docked Bestower is in the 2nd section of the mission. After killing everything in the first area you have to use the acceleration gate to go to the 2nd section. There you will have to kill a few ships and I think a couple turrets, but you will also find the Docked Bestower there. It sounds to me like you didn't use the acceleration gate to go to the second part.

I just started doing Lvl 3's with my main in his Maller. Was a tough little mission, but managed it with no warp-outs. Got a nice arbalest heavy launcher as well.. Was a very nice mission. I think though that this mission will be the limit for me in terms of the Maller's/my skills capabilities at this point. What missions should I avoid if I think this is the hardest one I can handle right now?

If you can do missions like that in a Maller, try a proph, it's a freaking Maller on Barry Bonds levels of steroids. Anyways, the second tier of spy stash can be a pain, especially if its Angels, and not guristas or whatever.

Oh craaaap I thought that 1000m3 of cargohold was needed so off I went with expanded bays , no afterburners 500 units of ammo etc etc Besides I tried to save cargo room by jettisoning stuff I didn't find so valuable, but still it was loot ofcourse
Oh noooes

I would advise blowing away all the structures in this mission as you might get some rare mineral drops. I did this mission yesterday and got amoungst others things 10 morphite and a load of noxium and mex. That which does not kill us makes us stronger. Bit of a bump it seems, however. It is in the second stage docked inside a structure. I just blew up everything till I got round to the Bestower myself. Grabbed the can (had to drop some loot though ) and ran off back to my agent. Overall a pretty easy mission.
