Almost all databases I've seen so far has the same "choose module, then module group, then click modules one by one and try to memorize parameters and compare them in your mind". Prize winner here is CCP themselves with stupidiest item database interface seen.
The only one database with more sane interface is located at http://www.drome.nl/eve/ - author of this DB happens to be familiar with arranging data in tables.
But all of that databases require exact knowledge of what are you looking for. You can not filter them by "I have one hi-slot, xxx CPU left and yyy powergrid left - what can I fit there?"
I still hope to find some USEFUL database, preferrably with RMR and later modules and items.

sounds like you need a ship fitting program like Quickfit or Shipfit. See above stickied forum for a very good program

You're bashing CCP for their database not being able to do something it was not designed to do in the first place. You're an idiot. The item database is there so that you can view the stats on all released items in EVE and so that those who are thinking of playing can see what ships and modules, etc... you can get in game, not so that you can work out what you have to put in your last hi slot. If you want that download the FutureFalcon ShipFit and character manager tool.

*hates posting things on an alt* I didn't have much luck with futurefalcon but that may be because I have no internet connection right now...in Iraq serving with the US Army, but I like the Quickfit program cause it doesn't rely on an internet connection

It allows you to check one or more different modules then view their stats side by side. The biggest downfall of this one is you can only compare items in the same category (i.e. I couldn't find a way compare battlecruisers and command ships because they reside in different categories).

Yeh it does require a net connection. But if you can get one it's well worth it. The ShipFit tool works in conjunction with CM so all the bonuses from your skills are applied, and you can see a readout of what stats are changed to what with your skills.

Did your momma told you that, or you read it from your ceiling?

Just for your information: FF Ship Fit was never officially released to the community, it's development is halted. Dev team provides only basic usage support, no new features being added. And v.0.0.29(beta) has same limited functionality: choose module from your right, see if it fits, choose next...

Thanks a lot for this link. But as you've mentioned, I do not need to compare two or more modules. I need to see a table-oriented listing with the ability to filter or sort on a given column(s).

No, troll, its what the interface is obviously designed to do.
You want it to do something that by its basic design it is not meant to do.
