I seen a nice new invention calculator that figured ur skill levels/dycryptors, etc this was a new thing and now I seem to have lost it and can not find it. I swear it was something EVE released
Any help on where I might find this?

No there was a newer one just released. I seen it maybe a month ago. I think it was an official eve release.
you put in your skills for the certain inventions, encryptors, and such, and it gave you an actual percentage.
Was really done nice. |

There's no official CCP release for this.
There are a /bunch/ of other tools which do it.
Such as: [shameless plug] https://www.fuzzwork.co.uk/blueprints/ [/shameless plug]

The esteemed Mr. Ronuken's calculator is robust and effective, and I've switched to it since my old favourite http://bp.kiwi.frubar.net/ stopped being able to fetch the pricing data from EveCentral (for me, as of about last night). To that end, and in case Steve reads this, I offer the following as suggestions for improvement.
There are several reasons I prefer Frubar to Fuzzworks:
- All the data can be configured and read without having to scroll down the page (page is almost entirely text-based, simpler and therefore smaller) - Details like decryptor and meta item choice remain persistent between different invention lookups (and are a little more easily changed if need be - saves time overall when looking up a lot of items) - The item search field allows word fragments, so you can choose the right 3 or 4 letters from anywhere within the item's name and bang - you're right there (me type slowly...) - Radio buttons exist for manufacturing your own Components or PI, and the final production cost reflects this (this data is also persistent between item lookups).
With the exception of the last item, all this amounts to is quicker research.
I also tried this one: https://eveeye.com/?blueprint=Jaguar+Blueprint&ML=-4&PL=-4&F60=1&I=1&cr=&e=4&c1=4&c2=4&d=100 (don't know why it's set to jaguar, but there you are). It works very well, has all the configurable inputs up front, and addresses my last point above by comparing the costs of buying vs building components in separate columns. I believe you need to subscribe to gain access to the full-on calculator, 4-10mil ISK/month.
There are others too, but these are the best three I've tried.

I'll have a look at the others (I'm half way through rewriting the entire thing to be more modular and less eye bleedy on the code) but this already works? (just don't use the search box in the top bar)

You are correct sir!
And, now I know that, and have made the habit of jumping right to the bottom of the page to tweak the Invention Calculations - the process is a little quicker.
I look forward to seeing the revised version, and really appreciate your commitment to and engagement with the Eve community. Kudos! |

so that's what Jenn aSide looks like without her glasses. Guess the Au-natural look doesn't really work for albinos. "CCP is changing policy, and has asked that we discontinue the bonus credit program after November 7th. So until then, enjoy a super-bonus of 1B Blink Credit for each 60-day GTC you buy!"
Never forget. |
