If I'm in the same alliance with someone and in the same gang as someone I should not be Concorded if I accidentally shoot them. It's ridiculous. This happened to me earlier today when I accidentally locked an alliance member in a 10 man complex run. This also makes it nearly impossible for and alliance functions to take place for fear of Concord. Please fix this concord should not interfere when a gang/alliance member decideds to play around with each other.

And same is true for people in same gang - no Concord interference please.
In short - if the "combatants" are in the same gang, corp or alliance: Concord should ignore any fighting.
Yes, I know that people can be trapped into gangs - so what? They can leave the gang after the first shot and thereby activate Concord against the agressor.
There's many ways people can be trapped/attacked/scammed - part of the game. Too many ships get blown up by Concord because people get targeted by accident or thought the could do test/fun fights because they are in same gang.
Would also help reduce the number of petitions a bit.

And dumb people who can't think of a good and valid reason for having gang members on overview (let alone TARGETTING on purpose) FTL.
I had requested at least more warnings in order to avoid what you did. Guess where that ended up? ---------- Please fix the scan probes!!! (also included a guide how to use them) |

I would like this. A gang member could invite random ppl in noob systems then and gang warp them over to my remote boosted vexor. A lot of free kills in empire.
Please try to break your idea befor you post them on the forum.

That's the noob's fault for accepting a random gang invite.
My main issue is that I can't have anyone not in my corp web me as I'm trudging around in my Obelisk, otherwise they get Concordokkened. I don't see why hostile actions within a gang should invoke a CONCORD response... __________________

Stop right there and think about what you are saying for a minute.
A lot of people play the game to make friends, have fun, be multi-player.
How are they going to do that if they can't accept any gang invites for fear of being blown up by some childish e-peen stroker?
If you are just approaching your first complex in your new ship, with no real idea about the nature of eve then what are you going to do if someone there starts talking friendly and offers you a gang? Seriously, what are you going to do?
And are you then going to know what it means when it says 'following in warp', hell you wouldn't even need that as the griefer could just sit at the gate and blow you up as soon as you accepted.
I like the harshness of eve, it's one of the reasons I am still here, there is a difference between harsh and unfair. Piracy and greifing.

Personally I would love to see no conord actions if attack would happen in gang but ONLY if the one attacked would have high standing set for the attacker - like +5 and more or +8 and more.
That would solve problems both of newbies being ganked all over the place - unless they will set standing for f...k knows what.
And those who got concordokened after accident during cooperative mission.
So hard to make it happen?
After last patch I don't doubt... it is.

I think there is a way easier way to do it. Just add an option where you opt out from CONCORD protection. Like going to a CONCORD station and talking to an agent. Or let it be a right click thingy like the POS force field password dialog.
And you add a nice little trap here too (i truely believe any new feature has to have at least the chance to be a trap to get approval by the game designers). You better let not know anybody and his mom that you showed CONCORD the finger. They may get after you. :)

I always add corps in my alliance to my liked list, gives me a handy list of who is in the alliance to avoid forgetting a corp! And because I do that, anyone in those corps can attack me in empire for fun/accidentally without CONCORD response? No problem there!

I'd think that it should be an opt-in kind of thing, at least for gangs....but I would be satisfied, for awhile, if they would have CONCORD recognize the corporations of an official alliance as part of the same legal entity (gee, isn't an alliance a single legal entity anyway? Otherwise, how do you explain war decs being declared on everyone in the alliance?) and not respond to same-alliance aggression. I mean, how can you ignore corp aggression and not alliance aggression? ---------- |
