The last year has seen many capsuleers work on behalf of the Empire, be it in the war against the Republic, the ongoing conflict in Providence, the struggle against the Sansha or in a hundred other projects both peaceful and martial.
And so it is with great pleasure that I announce PIE's ongoing sponsorship of the Amarrian Loyalist of the Year Awards for the fourth year.
Once again, two awards will be presented -
Amarrian Capsuleer of the Year: To be presented to the Amarrian, Khanid or Ni-Kunni pod pilot deemed to have achieved the most on behalf of the Empire during the last twelve months. The winner will receive a Navy Issue Apoclaypse provided by PIE Inc
Loyal Servant of the Year: To be presented to the non-Amarrian pod pilot deemed to have furthered the aims of the Empire the most during the last twelve months. The winner will receive a Navy Issue Omen provided by PIE Inc.
We are now accepting nominations for both of these awards. Anyone not currently a member of PIE may nominate pilots for the appropriate award. However, you may not nominate either yourself, a member of your current corporation, or a current member of PIE Inc. If you wish to nominate a pilot, please post their details in this thread along with why you think they deserve to win. Nominations will close at 12:00 on 3rd December 113.
The PIE Inc directorate will then distill the nominations into two shortlists, each of no more than six pilots. These lists will be published before being passed on to the wider PIE membership who will be the ones to decide the eventual winners.
The winners will be announced on 17th December 113. Dulce et decorum est pro imperium mori. |

I would have to place Cardinal Graelyn on that list. Despite his affiliations with an organization mine is on quite unfriendly terms with, he has done something for the Empire far more lasting or useful than simply fighting wars. He created the Summit.
Were Raze Valadeus still alive, I'd have nominated him. |

I nominate Alistair Cononach.
For speaking Truth to Power, for detailing that being a Good Amarrian does not mean having to be a aggressive Religious Zealot or brutal Slave owner or Tyranical slavery supporter, for explaining that enlightenment does not require the whip or the needle, but an open mind and a desire for truth, freedom and equallity, and that above all else rationality and logic and intelligence and a belief in judging all by their deeds, not their faith or words, for promoting that these things can and should be a core ethic of every Amarrian.
The long-overdue Amarrian Enlightenment and Reformation is an inevitabillity. The old schakles of slavery, the bindings of faith-based-State-tyrany and oppression will be cast aside, and replace by the Rule of FAIR Law, Equallity, Enlightenment, Libertarianism, Freedom and Liberty for one and all, an era of Personal Responabillity and accountabillity above all else, of good deeds rising above the false prophet of shallow "good" words, of every man and women judged not by some faceless State Religious Institution and it's self-described representatives, but by the actions one takes for and against their fellow man.
For being the only man in the Amarr Bloc who, given the right circusmtances, could bridge the gap of endless hatred, violence and warfare between the CVA and UK. For beign the only man who even cares about such a healing.
For these things, and for being a Good Inty pilot, I nominate.....me. |

Oh, and if I'm not good enough, I nominate Garreck. Cause Garreck is a great guy whose never lost his vision of the cause of Amarrianism, even though he's not even an Amarrian. He is one hell of a guy in my estimation, and not nearly appreciated enough by the loyalist block. |

I take part of the glory for ending CVA-IPHAR war, and thus creating everlasting peace and friendship between our two organizations. This has been immence morale boost to the almost entire amarrian block. I have also trying to inspire my congregation in Providence to greater fewour, so last devastation will never occure again.
I have also taken part of mighty struggles against Kuvakei's incursions within Empire and Mandate territories. I have struck down the dignity of countless hexers with the sword of my mouth.
I have also contined to talk for the better treatment of hard working industrial spaceship captain within Providence and Empire. Some times it seems im only one who is defending their rights in this world. |

Amarrian Capsuleer- I nominate Odelya d'Hanguest- for her unswerving Loyalty to God, Empire and Empress, and for instilling righteous zeal amongst those of true Faith through her Book of Prayers.
Loyal Servant- I nominate Nephilim Xeno- for his continued efforts at smiting the enemy, rousing his comrades, and for maintaining efforts that most can only aspire to emulate.

This one nominates Tiberious Thessalonia for Amarrian Capsuleer of the Year. And before you scoff, I remind you:
Quote:To be presented to the Amarrian, Khanid or Ni-Kunni pod pilot deemed to have achieved the most on behalf of the Empire during the last twelve months.
The Imperial Crusade, the CVA, and affiliated parties have continued to play at the same games over the past year (just as have their oppositional counterparts). The tides have washed in and out again, just as they would have without being ridden by so many angry oarsman splashing around in their rowboats. Individuals have done great deeds, but nothing has come out of these arena that changes the cluster in any significant way.
The other various unconventional Amarrian sects have also stayed the same course as before...stagnating, succumbing to entropy, and accomplishing little of note.
The only thing the Amarrian bloc has really had going for it in the past year is Tiberious, who has been a tsunami in and of himself of cultural and ministerial outreach. While Graelyn and Garreck have been fighting the same battles (both physical and spiritual) as before, while Eran has turned into one of them, and while Vaari has prowled Providence in his goldy, Thessalonia has been moving among the people--believers and non-believers alike--offering solace, comfort, and encouragement the likes of which is truly divine. He had the hard discussions, answered the difficult questions, stood up for the faith, and disseminated it in a way that the rest of the cluster could comprehend and digest. He was the olive branch that reached many hearts and minds who were widely considered to be too hardened to ever hear anything Athra had to say again.
New Eden mourns the rapid demise of the Majesta Institute, and weeps for his defection to the Sansha. Tell me, when was the last time the cluster united in grief over an Amarrian's fall from grace? He has stumbled, yes. But for carrying the torch of Heideran alone for so long, and for everything he has accomplished in the past twelve months, he deserves our respect and our praise. You can choose to recognize him for a lifetime of service or revile him for...the last two days. You can offer him a beacon of hope as he has done for so many others in his life...or shut him out in the dark. To all of us who look at Athra from outside its Empire, Tiberious is already the Amarrian Capsuleer of the Year. It is up to you to deny this or formalize it.
