after having seen the new bs on sisi i cannot figure out if it is a bs or mining hull ... the uglyness of the final design , the placement of the circular attachment and the addition of the 2 vertical attachments makes it look les and less like a bs .. i do not understand why they didnt follow thru with earlier desings of cruiser and frig and only add the circle to the rear of the ship ???? any comments ?? |

I have to agree, the Nestor is quite ugly. The hull is not streamlined at all, and it feels like whomever OK'd the design of it was not paying attention, and whomever designed it took a pencil, a bottle cap, stuck the two together, and fastened a paper clamp on the eraser end of the thing.
Seriously CCP, this ship is horrible. I thought we were TRYING to make Eve pretty. |

Seriously CCP, this ship is horrible. I thought we were TRYING to make Eve pretty. Tell me - Why would a ship designed to work in vacuum need to be streamlined? Feh.

Considering that both are very awesome pieces of hardware, and I don't mean just looks, I find your point a bit moot, considering that the Nestor is far from pretty.

I do like the look of the ship all the SOE ships look like a great addition to the EVE look and feel. But still not sure what it will be used for besides using the remote rep bonuses. But that's expensive for remote rep. |

Those of you who think it looks bad (it looks beautiful, much more like something real than all the other ships in Eve) just need to learn to appreciate it. Those of you who can't see how to use it with those bonuses, well, your going to miss out.
Me and a small gang will rule the skies with these things. I will take out great swathes of opposition, 2 vs 20 man battles and I will kill everything. Those bonuses are beautiful. Your not looking at the big picture. "In the age of information, ignorance is a choice." www.stateofwar.co.nf |

It's probably OK as a tournament ship.
The bonuses look ok until you realise it does not have the grid or slots to use more than one bonus at a time. Certianly does not have the grid for tachs. 2 to 3 Billion is a lot to pay for what it currently looks like being capable of.
Nevertheless I am sure it will sell well, cos it is new and shiney and this is EVE. |

If you try and fit for all its many bonuses at once ofc it will be a mess. Try fitting for just 1-2 of them and you can get some interesting and useful set ups out of it. It is a good attempt at finding a new niche BS that isn't either a weaker version of something we already have or an OP version of something we already have. I think you will be surprised at how many of these you will see. The sceptics i know that tried them on Sisi started making excited squeaking noises similar to those made by a Guinea Pig that thinks it will be fed soon. here is a list of all the fiat currencies that didn't end up at zero value.....and here is a list of the places where a currency pegged to a real commodity has successfully co-existed with compound interest....-á Here is a physics professor explaining why sustainable growth isn't a thing http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=F-QA2rkpBSY |

Its a WH RR domi. Use it in pairs with an armor tank. The threat you generate from your RR and energy xfer will draw most of the sleeper aggro leaving your drones unmolested. Throw in more ships for an even better ball o' drone. We're winning the war if it says so on CAOD! -á

You know, the same guy that designed the Nestor designed the Hel, the Abaddon, Niddhogur, Archon, Avatar, Myrmidon, Hyperion, the Pod, the Drake, Rokh and Hurricane.
Here's his gallery and website.
His name is +üsgeir J+¦n +üsgeirsson, and I really like his work- give the Nestor a chance- I hated it initially, but I really love it now, especially now that I can fly it on the test server- it's huge compared to most of the other battleships, and it has a great look to it.
Also, I doubt they'd change it anyhow, so quit yer' whinin' "A City made of Wood is built in the forest; A City made of Stone is built in the mountains; But a City made of Dreams....is built in heaven."
