Don't take that into low sec. It will be blown to bits within a week; maybe two if you're careful. |

Depending on where in low-sec, and how it's going to be used, i seriously doubt it will survive the first day.
Don't use just one ship for low-sec exploration, but if you are hell-bent on the one ship concept use a T3.
I use the following ships:
Covert ops, for scanning and data/relic sites. Assult Frig, for ded 1-3 and some unrated sites. T1 Cruiser, for ded 4. Battlecruiser, for ded 5 and some unrated sites. HAC/Battleship, ded 6 and battleship for one unrated site. T3. all escalations, ded 4-5 and unrated sites.
You really don't want to use a battleship more then you absolutely have to, it's like covering yourself in blood before you go swimming in shark filled waters. They are so slow and easy to scan down that they attract a lot of unwanted attention, the only good thing about them is that you can insure them for a higher value then T2/T3 cruisers. I'm a relatively respectable citizen. Multiple felon perhaps, but certainly not dangerous. |

That's 5-6. Otherwise, yeah, spot on.

The people in lowsec exist to do you harm. They may be friendly, charming, and eventually allies - but initially they want the ship you are flying on th |

IF i would go plexing in a BS i would prolly take a domi. mwd+cloak and maybe mjd, stabs for those who don't feel weird with stabs.
The paradoxical thing is that a BS will attract double the attention than, say, a tech 3 - even if the hunters know you are a plexer who might be hard to catch. It's because you would stick out. Tech3s and such are seen often - BS not so much.
Another thing is that IMO its easier to tank a cruiser size ship (HAC or T3) against rats, than a BS - because of sig radius/moving and T2 resists. There is a reason why ppl say 'tengu' (nowadays also ishtar), when it comes to plexing. much easier to travel, can tank plexes well enough, does okay damage.
But then again as someone who is not only carebear, i think you should definately give it a try. |

I once ran some low sec missions in a Raven. It got blowed up. Although, that was after many weeks of mission running. It was, at that time, a quiet area.
I had better luck running plexes with battleships, but eventually lost one, after some cat and mouse play.
Just plan on losing it sooner or later. Have fun!
