I'm just curious. I know this game has been given a lot of crap, but I still have faith in it. I was just wondering if any clans are hiring new players to learn the way the works and also to have good newbie tips. |

After you graduate after DUST University, you can Join our Corp - Bullet Cluster. Its one of the only corps, that have DUST AND EVE players, so because I suppose you will play both games it would be the best for you. And thats not all - we are also in Legacy Rising Alliance, witch is on of the only Alliance that also have EVE AND DUST corps!
So this is one of the only place where you can actually experience both games to the fullest. |

DUST have influence on WF in EVE, and it IS set in New Eden Universe. But for the most part - its true. But it's because this game is very young, and focus of CCP is to make this game a great standalone, and not good because it's connected to EVE. And then, they will deepen the connection with EVE |

Basically it starts out as a game for masochists like Eve Online itself did. I think we all know that CCP needs some time to add interesting content. I mean what could we do when Eve was released? Mining, PvP and ratting? |

Hell yeah dude I like where this is going. I'm still newbish here on Eve Online to be quite frank because I let my trial character alone in 2011 and just on December I picked up my character again and started playing on a full trial account. So yeah I'll defintely hit you up once I graduate from Dust University.
I should probably join Eve Online University also lol. |

Also I understand the game is not perfect now and that it doesn't really reflect on a proper MMOFPS, but yeah I'm no Eve Online veteran but I do know the development process because I always kept my eye on it. I think CCP is a very smart company and this is just the beginning most games need to get a whole lot crappier before they get a whole lot better. Although I don't agree with the fact that they made it a PS3 game. I think they should have stuck to leaving it as a PC/Mac game. I'm not even a PC gamer (I play Eve on my MacBook Pro), but at the end of the day, I'm sure Dust 514 and Eve Online will truly become as ONE. I'm excited for it and super patience because this is one of the most innovative universes in gaming history. I'll even be honest enough to say that the gameplay in Eve Online especially as a newbie isn't AS EXCITING, but to me its what you can do. I've heard several stories and no other game I've played has ever been able to match it up with a similar experience. My father in law is a Eve Online veteran and whenever he tells me about these stories, I'm always in awe and laughing my ass off, so thats why I'm here.
Also, I'm probably a lot better at FPS games lol, but I'm also aware its a vast complex game even as a FPS. Trust me I'm not a Call of Duty only fanboy thinking he's going to whoop everyone lol. |

Then you should try to join to EVE University too :) I see you got the drill about DUST being just the beginning. Also try to drop EVE: Valkyrie to the mix, and you got one big... game? Can we still call it a game? It's an universe. I always said, that EVE Online got so big, that it got not only expansion packs, but also expansion game, lol!
To be honest I'm not a good FPS gamer, so I always try to be supportive :) And the same goes to EVE - it's a little boring to play alone, so I play only then we have something to do with others.
So if you need any help form both games - just ask me :) |

Believe me you don't want to be part of DUST University, it is not the same thing as the respected, venerable EVE University. It is full of red line snipers, spawn spam cheaters and pure craziness much like a trip to the DMV or WALMART.
You want to join a corp that is in an alliance so you can enjoy planetary conquest.
This corp I am in is a EVE/DUST corp in an alliance with 3 DUST corps among 9 other corps EVE side. One is top 20 ranked (PRO), you're welcome to join.

And here's the difference between EVE's beginning and DUST's beginning.
When EVE started, the slate was clean. CCP had no experience, everything was new etc. etc.
When DUST started, CCP had a goal to create a game with strong ties to one of the most sucessful MMOs ever, and over 10 years of experience with that MMO. With DUST's beginning, it looks like CCP is almost completely ignoring over 10 years of experience.
This reasoning that "Well, DUST is ew" and "This is CCP's first FPS". Those re excuses, and they don't fly. DUST 514 Recruit Code - https://dust514.com/recruit/zluCyb/

I like my play style with DUST 514. I am a Loggy. As a logistics specialist, I revive, drop ammo/repair drops, and repair armor. My attack is limited to my Assault rifle, But I am proud of every time I am able to empty my clip into a heavy enemy and SOMEHOW finish him off with a buttstroke to the head. It is rare but so enjoyable.
If anyone wants some Loggy support 0n Dust, send a message to my PS3 ID, Bozz5674. |

Double Standards much? If "This is their first FPS" is just an excuse then so was "It's their first MMO" |

Yeah, it's an excuse. And you're ignorant. EVE was made in a vacuum with no previous experience. DUST was not made in a vacuum. DUST was not made or marketed as a stand alone game. DUST was not made by anyone other than CCP.
To say "It's okay for there to be almost a complete lack of anything in DUST that makes the player feel like they're in New Eden 'because it's CCP's first FPS'" is an excuse. There's no way around it. DUST 514 Recruit Code - https://dust514.com/recruit/zluCyb/

Heck, join Learning Coalition chat on Lockelius and ask some questions. See what it is about.
Learning Coalition chat has experienced players from many of the top DUST corps who are there to answer questions and show new players the ropes. You will also meet other new players, such as yourself. Most of the new players are members of my Basic Training Corp, Immortal Guides. You donGÇÖt have to join my Corp to join the chat channel though.
Edit: Just noticed you joined Bullet Cluster. A solid choice. I would still recommend you join GÇ£Learning CoalitionGÇ¥ chat, to ask questions while you are getting to know the game, to answer questions when you become more experienced. |
