The offers that most agents have been making me lately seem to demonstrate that the devs don't pay any attention to player's abilities.
I'm only doing lvl 2 missions, but all my lvl2 agents keep asking for tags that I can't get doing lvl 2 missions - navy major etc. I've certainly never gotten any tags of this lvl from any missions I've done, and rarely get anything other than the pure junk low level tags.
My last offer was asking for 160 navy major tags. The best I have right now is sergeant 2 tags. I have 6 of those, and it's taken me 2 months of combat missions every day to get those few. So I'm guessing doing lvl 3 or 4 missions where you might expect to see the major or higher tags you'd need to play 10 hours a day for 2 or 3 years to manage to get 160 tags.
I guess what I want to know is - why is the agent asking me for stuff he should know I don't have? If I could get those items I wouldn't be dealing with him, I'd be dealing with a lvl 3 or 4 agent (though I can only guess what those agents are looking for)

The agent offers are all out of whack. The most consistently lousy offers I've gotten are for hardwired skills. They are always of the type... give me 5M and 10K LP and I'll give you this 400K useless hardwired skill. What do you say? No? Well it's your loss.
I think they should review these from time to time for find a way to tie them to he market. Perhaps at one time these were decent offers but they seem ludicrous in the current market.

Edited by: Iagen on 22/03/2006 23:26:49 Offers are not agent-level specific. You will get the same offers from a lvl 4 agent as you will a level 1 agent, the deterining factor behind it is your LPs. This means you may get offers for tags you've never seen, but also that lvl 4 mission runners will get offers for 3% to small turrent dmg implants.
It sucks.

It all makes sense then Iagen. Not neccessarily the best way to do it, but at least now I know.
Thanks very much for clearing it up.

Btw, you can sell the empire tags directly for the same amount of money without wasting the LP.
I know the difference between right and wrong... I just don't care. |
