Just ... Don't.
- XP out of finished quests only ( hmm riiiight, so no more ways to earn xp) - Soloing? Never! (MUST be grouped all the time kkthnxlala!) - Instanced Zones for you all the time (Why can't I street hunt? or forest hunt?) - Based on the world of EBERRON ( *puke*)
- ... agh thanx goodness a friend got it as bday gift and allowed me to play for several days ... Again , I tell you :
Just ...DON'T

All I can say is grind-grind-grind, I played it for a week and could not stand it after a while. I played EVE for 2 days and was hooked. :) I must say it has nice graphics and is quite true to the d20 D&D system but other then that, grind-grind-grind.

I like DDO. A lot. I really appreciate the fact you dont need to grind kill 1000 forest spiders to gain a level in this game. I also love Dungeons and Dragons and appreciate how closely they sticked to the PnP rules.
On the other hand, I'm a casual gamer so the somewhat limited content doesnt bother me. Someone who plays 10 hours a day will run out of quests he has not yet done fairly soon.

I found it somewhat more interesting than your generic fantasy MMORPG.
It required some actual tactics in many cases.
On the other hand, paying 15 dollars a month for an instanced MMO is absolute bull****.

It's an absolute blast at first, the dungeons are awesome. Then you get group members doing same quests over and over and over. As far as there being no grinding in that game, they are crazy. Plus the world is just bland as can be, I don't know why they didn't think to make the world at least likeable. And because the game is centered around quests you can't look people up who are needing to do the same quest. You just get a very small comment box for people to put the quest they need to finish. You spend haflf an hour to get a group that wants to do the same damn quest you have done 5 times already. It is one big pile of kitten puke of a game.

Totally hooked on it The way they have tried to keep to the rules of D+D is top notch
It's a hard game to master solo tho, even tho i been repeating the easiers quests to gain better equipment for trying the harder ones. I also like the idea that you can repeat the quests a fair few times b4 the XP starts to drop to poorer levels. ............................................ It isnt a bug, it's a new feature
