Had my first few run-ins with pirates the last few days. Was missioning L3's in Jov for the last 3-4 days no problem in my Ferox, so I decide to do so Aschee 0.2 (sp) to rat for a bit. Go to a belt, see 3 85k's and decide to take them on. Half way through I get jumped by 2 Thorax's and a Ferox.
I get warp jammed naturally, have no stabs on stupidly and know I'm f'd so I just open up on one of the Thorax's with 5 heavies, get him down to about 1/2 armour and he warps out, but the other two stay and i have drones all over me. Of course I lose my ship (was insured, but I lost some named heavies) and manage to warp to station before they can lock my pod.
Then I'm 11km from station and a Scorp warps in behind me and starts launching torps, I was amazed when my pod survives 3 and I manage to dock. After being mocked for 5-10 mins, I make a run for it in a shuttle and get out.
So today, I get an offer for a 15m implant that I already have, but it's back in Jov. I'm skint though so I jump in a shuttle and take the risk. I'm 2 jumps away and 5 guys lock me at a gate...2 of them from the other night. I lose the ship but manage to warp to a planet with half my pod armour intact. I got another shuttle and made a run to Jov and made it, sold all my stuff, made 18mill and got in my Cormorant which I left there and make a run to safe space. At the last low sec gate a BS starts sniping me from 145km but I'm going 1200m/s thanks to the MWD so I make it with half shields.
Although I lost a ship it was pretty cool, sorry if this is nothing exciting just thought I'd share it with ya

Won't be the last time guy, just keep a positive attitude about it. Pirating is a legitmate profession and it helps keep the mineral prices stabilized. Had a completely different view before I pirated for a bit when I had my own solo corp. Best thing you can do is watch local and when it starts filling up get to a safespot. Have fun.

Yeah I realise it's something that's going to happen and let's face it, it keeps the game more interesting.
Had another run-in last night but it was by choice, me and 2 corp mates went out to see if we could find some low-sec people to kill, we had a raven, a ferox (me) and some crappy minnie frig. We saw a -8.3 in a station so we waited outside for him, he came out in a Megathron and I went in and tackled him (ferox isnt exactly the best tackler) but we managed to jam him, we got him down to about 3/4 armour and he went back in station.
Trouble is there was another prat in there with an Armageddon (wasn't the same corp though) and they obviously knew what we were trying to do so they teamed up and came back out. They had targetted the raven before but this time the Thron went for me and the Arma I'm pretty sure was tanking him to hell because his armour tank suddenly became almost unbreakable and the Arma wasn't firing on us.
Anyway I survived a pretty long time but I lost my ship again, then my friend lost his Raven, so basically we got pwned.
The people we attacked were actually cool about it though, thing is this sytem (won't name it) has an anti-pirate corp in it and we have good relations with them, so they said we could come in system and it'd be relatively safe. Turns out the two low secs we attacked are actually quite friendly with the corp and have "turned over a new leaf" or something to that effect. Not sure if this is BS or what, but they never tried to pod me or ransom me after taking out my ship so I dunno. They actually offered us to team up and go hunting "real" pirates - could be a trap of course, but...

Actually intera.. I had not fired because i was afraid i was gona get owned by the raven at the station if i aggressed and could'nt dock. and you aggressed me first outside station tryin to camp me in lol. So i calle din my buddies cus i was joining their corp.
It was good fight. The daredevil frig was jamming so we killed it and the ferox of intera went down at the station also. the raven warped away
they then tried to get a friendly corp TRFC to attack us even though were friendly so when the raven opened up on me at the gate tfrc engaged them also and the raven went pop.
was a good fight.
havent added about the belt yet have you ;p we got intera in a belt again the other day after the station incident. another ferox downed

EDIT: also it was me you aggressed first i was trying to get to a fleet op against 9th fleet and you attacked me at station so i redocked and asked the dude in the mega ( Commander Nikolas ) to come help.

Maybe TRFC should have mentioned that there were friendlies with extremely negative sec ratings in system? We were told only that anyone with less than -5 would be KOS. Very poor show from TRFC tbh, especially if they popped the Raven, which I didn't know.
Anyway we won't be back in system again so nm.

2 of them were Assault frigs I'm pretty sure, with their almost impenetrable shields :P
The funny thing about this whole thing is that I've lost 2 ships (which I don't mind) and been podded (which I mind a bit) because of basically a misunderstanding, I was trying to do exactly the same thing you do. However Commander Nikolas doesn't seem to want to hear it so I doubt you do either.

Didn't engage the raven, only gave sheild support to commander nik thus attracting the sentry fire, was a tricky situation so , ordered the TFRC fleet not to engage, and instead just gave logistic's support To the CEO of the allied corp ( one of our newbs started blazing away at something but he ceased fire quite sharpish)
Deepest Apologies If we didn't make the situation with AIL clear, although I don't know who you talked to, In future, probably best you Talk to me concerning any PvP related issues in TFRC patrol regions

Man, looks like another cranking time i missed out on again Intera, however my luck has been just as crap. Played all by the sounds of it.
