How does Agent missions work?
If I ask an R&D agent for a mission, will that involve research factories? And what kind of mission u get from selecting "I need some research done, can u head my research team?" Does that involve research factories?
thx

"research factorys" are just used to modify or copy BPO's. Doing research missions for agents gives you a good chunk of RP, and nothing else. Do it if you want the extra RP, but it is not nessisairy.
Also they only give courier and supply missions.

NO
The type of missions you get are, oftern hauling, or providing your agent with materials so he can carry on the research for you. Also you will get important standing missions, which are combat, Only now and then!! I highly recommend you do these also, they are not only fun but help alot with your standing.
Working for an r+d agent,is for a chance to earn a bpo, as a reward.
There are many advantages for doing missions every day for your agent. For example if your intrested in manafacturing you have a chance of earning a BPO.
This means you can then manafacture it, or make copies to sell on to others. Everytime you do the mission you get extra R+D points, The more you earn the better your chance to earn a BPO.
All the best should you need any help convo me in game.

Edited by: Kery Nysell on 26/03/2006 12:25:44 You can do at most one mission per 24 hours for a R&D agent, unless that has changed in the past 6 months ...
I did a few hundreds of those missions for my R&D agents before realising that they were a real money sink (64~80 Science Graduates at 750K each every two days is too much for my wallet) for no real benefit, they only give you a number of Research Points equal to what you earn each day.
Yes, that can double your RPs. But the cost is anywhere between 0 and 60 millions ISKs, each day ...
In all those hundreds of missions, I had to move several hundreds of thousands of m¦ of Garbage, needed to find several thousands of Consumer Electronics, Planetary Vehicles and other trade items, and one "kill" mission, where I had to destroy a BS with 2 escorting cruisers (that was for a level 4 agent).
And I don't have a single Tech 2 BPO to show for 10 months of daily missions, for which I spent about 750 millions ...

Edited by: Kery Nysell on 26/03/2006 15:56:27 My agents are still running Research Projects for me, but I don't bother with the 50+ jumps (damn that Cold War ...) and 10+ millions every day anymore ... now I just hope that someday that complete joke of a lottery will knock on my door
