Well, I'm quite dissapointed that despite having reserved 10 shares via this post, they were sold anyway, leaving me hanging high and dry. Good luck to all those that got to invest. Wish I hadn't been at work at the time.
If any shareholders want to sell 10 shares, drop me an EVE-Mail. I'd still like to pick up a few for this venture.

You can't sell the shares for the first 3 weeks (this is in the welcome mail), and this give each share holder at lest one dividend then after that they can sell the shares as they please, this was in the welcome mail, I am really sorry for the mix up, I've mist counted how many shares that I was in need to hold back.
Step one: Sell shares (done) (given 5 days took 15hrs)
Step two: Buy blueprints (done) UC now owns the 2 BPO's (was given tell the 4th of April done 5 days befor hand)
Step three: Wait for Blueprints to get out of research. (waiting)
Step four: Build 100units of each item, (7days for one 8 for the other) (13th of april they have will done)
Step five: Sell items (given 1 day door way for high price, 1 day for low)
Step six: Dividends, first report.

The corp was disbanded, and whatever crap it owned was turned to 81k isk.
Good scam. Because I suspected that it might be a scam I didn't buy a lot of shares :)

6. SCAMMING
Severe offenses may result in an immediate ban without warning; however, warnings may be given for first time offenses, followed by account suspensions of varying degree and ultimately a permanent ban if a player:
a. Illegally obtains items from another through use of an exploit or cheat method.
b. Intentionally creates missions that cannot be completed through normal game mechanics or abilities.
c. Has been told by a GM to discontinue a scam ploy and disregards the instruction.
Selling me shares, and deleting a corp/player is considered a way to obtain items via Exploit and Cheat Method...

Just run a check on the player that delivered the shares NONOU
Already a part of 2 corporations created by Kamourses that both have 1000 shares (Altavista) and 2000 shares (United Council), and have 0 members.. meaning... its not the first time this players does this type of scamming.

Heh, quality scam, i got sucked in too, but reading back the offer was just on the side of too good to be true, although not too far that way. It's a shame people do this though as it makes it very difficult for anyone to really trust putting funds into a scheme.

1) Kamourses was newish char without any standings -> obvious alt
2) The corp was a few months old, was recruiting members in November, and claimed to have built T2 stuff for ages
So, all who lost their ISK kinda had to expect that; it's rather cheap lesson anyway.
Although don't see reason to yell 'petition'; it was just a regular scam. Perhaps just ask _forum_ moderators if they will enforce 'dont post scam sales' in some way.

I dont know about you, but i don't like games that allow open-public scamming. and either way, if other players see that this auction are not 100% safe to invest since anyone can do this type of scamming do to a game exploit (or whatever u want to call it), players will think twice before investing in other corporations. already mailed suport as told by a GW, they are solving the problem. if any of u guys want to loose isks, its with u. i pay a game to enjoy it, not to have scammers ripping me off.
no more coments here, my problem is beeing solved.

I know this may not help now, but Kali has some sort of contract system (enforceable?) worked into it. I suspect it will be oriented towards share trading and public accountability/ record-keeping.

For them who think, this guy "Nonou" is my alt, I sad to say you are worng. I to invested 400mil into this, and I do is sad to see this happen.
I do know Nonou through, I played with hem with a alt of mine in a noob corp when I first started playing. So I'll see if I can get ahold of hem and see what is up.

If the corp has dispanded straightaway then they have gone against the eula, they have used out of game mechanics to run a scam
if gm's do nothing about this then every one who wants to be dodgy can be by selling shares raise a quick few bil take the cash and delete the charachter, so hopefully you all get your isk back..

I would also consider using an alt to collect money to be handed to a primary in order to dodge the repercussions of any harmful activities an exploit, but that's just me. I can't see how a contract system would easily prevent such scams from happening in the future. As CEO you can keep the money sent and any assets the corp owns and send it elsewhere. Also contracts would have to extend to alts and even other accounts (spending a few extra dollars to get an extra account with three alts that can run large scams simultaneously is a small price for the amount of isk you can nab) for any sort of protection to exist.
Sadly such scamming will do nothing but cripple any attempts at making a market in trading shares. In other words it punnishes those of us who try to play fairly and eradicates a section of gameplay reducing what we get to do within the game itself. I hope that CCP does something about it.

I fail to see how IPO scams are fundamentally different from those countless Escrow/Corp Theft/Prepayment etc. scams, that are clearly allowed by precedents. One might argue that using forums to advance a scam makes it illegal; hopefully we will get somekind of ruling about that matter along this case.
Yet I think this kind of scamming fits in the world of Eve: You are responsible of your actions, not CPP. Whether it is about flying alone to 0.0, or trading with newbie alts.
Anyway, in this case you may deal with non-alt person and ask for refund from him, if you so wish. As mentioned above, I'm pretty certain that Kamourses, Nonou, Hansoloo and Nobeus belong to the same player. My anecdotal evidence to support that claim are.
- Hansoloo, confirmed alt of Nobeus, was among the first ones to buy shares
- Both Nonou and Nobeus are involved in FE, and defend it's actions in forums in same style
- Nonou char used for bumping Nobues's auction thread
- And most importantly: common consistent misspellings in posts:
Also->Aso Because->Becouse, Plan->Plain, Cost -> Cast,
Convo->Crovo. E.g. eve-search for terms 'build cast' and
'crovo' only give names of these characters.

I consider my 50M lost. This is a scam and its within the mechanics of the game.
What we need is a Corp/Player that can review and approve an IPO/Buisness plan, and only give it approval if its a solid one.
Im considering making such a char/corp.
- Risk / benefit review for investors
- Review IPO
- Review Char behind IPO, Skills, login
- Do the math on the income/cost
- Have a fixed reporting method for IPO¦s
- Have some deposit, that investors can get back
if Buisness idea newer leaves the paper and comes alive.
- Have a well know brand/stamp that players will know only is given approval by, if the IPO seems genuine.

Problems: Workload, This might become a true nightmare if the its a success. Are anyone else but me intrested in this and would like to take part if it becomes reality?
I do know, that we can newer be 100% sure of the corps, that we are investing in. But if this idea could take out lets say half the scammers, then Eve would be a funnier game to play. And investing/starting up buisnesses might actually become a true part og the game.
Let me hear your thoughts ingame or on this thread.
