Sure you can do it. Although I think its the kind of thing better attemped with a few accounts, then you have a proper nomad fleet with storage/boosts from the orca and some actual roid crunching power. But if you want to fly around in a solo retriever/mackinaw, then nothings stooping you. "CCP is changing policy, and has asked that we discontinue the bonus credit program after November 7th. So until then, enjoy a super-bonus of 1B Blink Credit for each 60-day GTC you buy!"

Be expecting to be extorted for about 10 million by a bounch of dorks spouting nonsense about some "New Order" as hosted by Beaver 957 or anyone else mentioning anything about a "Code". They will bump you until you either pay them 10 Million or decide that the procurer/venture you are in is too tempting a target to resist and unleashing all the destructive potential of their small weapons that they have mounted to destroyers. Once you are dead they will congratulate themselves on a job well done in the name of that dude that seems to get them going.

Extorted for 10 mil? You are purchasing a Mining Indulgence, the ability to mine however much you want and not be harassed. Its worth every .01 ISK. Just like anything else in Highsec, it can be viewed as a tax, a necessary evil if you may wish to call it that.
Now, if you believe that its extortion, there are other alternatives, but most usually involve some very sensual maneuvers with some very fast and heavy ships, and usually end with a fair bit of Fed Navy Antimatter applied in not-so-erotic ways... although the word 'hull penetration' may be used near the end moments...and that's kinda hot. Your the most right person whos response I have ever read. To think that I was in the wrong for EVER wanting to mine with out having to pay beyond my subscription fee is just shame on me. Total shame. It's totally my bad thing for never paying them for all the rocks I have mistakenly removed from the imaginary belts that somehow find ways to replenish themselves everyday around 05:30 CDT.
I would beg forgiveness from Denise 842 and his band of misfits but I don't really like updating my profile to include anything that anyone has ever said, so I will just continue to not be harassed by them :) |

Not hugging a station?
Not treating the Eve universe in the same manner that we treat our locales in RL (always staying in it, seldom going anywhere because there to "things that need to be done")
Not turning the game into work?
Nah!
OP, just set up shop in a highsec station and get decced every week. Without you, new cars in RL will get keyed. Treat the game just like it was work, put up with it as long as you can stand it, then quit in 6 months to a year.
Don't go mining in deep dark insecure places such that the uber elite PVPers cannot hunt you down in perfect safety. You don't want to go there. You might actually have fun too.
You see you are dealing with players who were given Ritalin at age 6. They are incapable of enjoying anything because of that, and they can't stand to see anybody else enjoy anything. So don't go enjoying the game. Do your duty and be gank fodder and eventually a statistic for leaving the game so they can feel better about themselves.

Hey I got mine when I was 9, but I have had a good chuckle from HOW some of the New Order people go about calling out people in local. Most of the time's it's followed by a "what" from the person called out and 3-5 people in local getting criminal status. That's usually about the time the Bestower is getting to the Stargate and I am through. Mostly they seem to be a bunch of players who either missed out on or had too much fun during the old Hulkageddon's. (Damage I miss those). |

i like the OP's idea because it makes mining more dynamic, at least at a degree. if you do it for fun, but profit wise, you loose time travelling from system to system (mining ships are AWFUL for travel, not enough cap for several warp, slow to align, slow war speed). that time can be better spent focusing in a single belt and mining it completelly in the same system.
what it could be is to travel one day to one system and mine a whole day there, then refine and sell. or put a courier and sent everything to a trade hub once you finish..... |

Mining in Eve is relaxing....
Until you meet the disciples of Buttholio714 or whatever his name his..... you see, he has managed to convince some dingle berries to believe in his delusions of grandeur, or as he likes to call it.... "The Crap" er I mean "The Code". The dingle berries will then proceed to bump your ship to keep you from mining until you pay them a ransom to stop.
Buttholio 714 and his dingle berry followers believe that this is their destiny in life.... to extort imaginary money from people who pay real money to earn the imaginary money...you will get a headache if you try to reason it out.
So, Buttholio 714 and his dingle berry followers will enforce their "CRAP" er "CODE" on anyone willing to pay. The "Crap" er "Code" would go right down the toilet if people would stop paying them.
In summary, Buttholio 714 and his dingle berry followers will never realize that their "Crap"... er "Code" is nothing but a huge pile of stinking sh........well you get the idea, because they suffer from delusions of grandeur. It somehow makes them feel impotent..er I mean important in their meaningless lives.
I have never paid in game money to mine when I already pay real life money to do the same, nor will I ever do it... If you happen to get a dingle berry while mining an assteroid, just leave and go someplace else.... there are about a gazillion places to mine in peace. |

This is the kind of personal attack and trolling that, if you had written something GOOD about the New Order, would have gotten your post deleted. Fortunately for you, personal attacks and insults about us are allowed so it will stand.
Highsec is worth fighting for.
By choosing to mine in New Order systems, highsec miners have agreed to follow the New Halaima Code of Conduct.-á www.minerbumping.com

I love all the people who post things like this on anonymous alts. If the Order is so meaningless, why not post with your main? I'm sure that you don't actually mine anyway & you have powerful friends in nullsec or something so where's the harm?

False. The vast majority of CODE. funds come from share holders, who enjoy miner tears...like yours.

It will be fun.....for a little while. It will become pretty lonely and repetitious.....and there is significant risk mining alone.
You may find more fun in joining Brave Newbies. The Brave Provisions group mines low sec, and provides fleet protection, ore and ice buy back programs, and a very fun per hour oriented social experience that you may find invigorating. (And profitable.)
Look us up!
Feel free to bring along any permit selling douche bags as well. We need their gank fit destroyer wrecks to feed our salvagers.

I ganked a brave newbie in a wormhole once. He was salvaging some sleeper loot. His buddies all bravely ran away. I didn't think to call him a douche bag though, because *class*. Since you are comprehension challenged ill remind you it is the New Order of Hisec. I know violence isn't the answer. I got it wrong on purpose. |

Yes, you could do that if you want to check out all of high sec. Take a procurer and tank it up. You can go to all the unique sites in each system and do the tourist thing. I have done it a frig and it is sometimes fun to go check stuff out. You won't get a good refine rate on your ore though unless you have a good standing with the corps you refining at but that probably doesn't matter to a nomad. |
