new station type to replace the current main hub, one that is caldari and ejects ships out the bottom into space that is clear and unobstructed by the station itself. for a while now I have been flying a few large ships that take lots of km and ages to go into warp that plus trying to warp to a gate on the other side of the station most the time i am either lodged in the side of the station or hoping to a planet and then to a gate.
it is my thought that such a station would help improve jita traffic flow and maybe be a model for other hubs. |

In my opinion, you should have to manually pilot your ship out of the station, and if you collide with another ship or the station you blow up. See Bio for isk doubling rules. If you didn't read bio, chances are you funded those who did. |

if you don't have an insta bookmark in JITA of all places, then you deserve all the grief and trouble you get. "CCP is changing policy, and has asked that we discontinue the bonus credit program after November 7th. So until then, enjoy a super-bonus of 1B Blink Credit for each 60-day GTC you buy!"

The solution to your problem already exists.
Create a bookmark a few km in front of you (as you exit the station) so you won't have to align and can warp off almost instantly. Once at your bookmarked position, jump to the gate. |

^ This, there are already solutions, no need to change the station. "PvE in EVE is a trap to turn you into PvP content, don't confuse it for actual gameplay." Lipbite |

It would actually hurt traffic flow, not help it. All the celestials in front can't be used anymore to warp off faster. This isn't amarr. It's jita. You're not really grasping the situation. Fail to understand why CCP shows fancy station models in their DUST trailers that aren't even ingame. Like that quad undock port station anchored to the planet.
Why not just implement that model as a hub... I don't ...even... wow waste development over appealing/promising content. |

The word 'Jita' and the phrase 'quality of life' should never be used in the same sentence.

That's true, to handle all of the ship traffic, physically the station structure needs to be about... maybe100 times larger? That's not taking into account all of the ships, minerals, and other junk players have stored in there. And according to EVElopedia, just the food court is enormous: "The primary food court is gigantic, equal to the size of four Mind Clash arenas."
It's called Caldari Navy Assembly Plant, but it looks like the Navy got pushed out of there. There's no way they have any space for assembling anything in that little station. |

Imagine you break a leg off your chair. You grab some duct tape, wrap it around a few times, and your chair can be sat on again.
Is that really a feasible solution to the problem of having a broken chair? You'd want the leg fixed properly. Sure, duct tape works for a while. It's a nice work around for the time being.
Instawarping from undock is a nice work around for the time being too. It's the duct tape of station undocking. I'm tired of using duct tape; I want my stuff fixed. |

No, insta-warps is the catch-all solutions to all undocking problems (except maybe being bubble-camped on a kick-out station). It's simple, it's elegant, it's universally applicable, and in the particular case of Jita IV-4, it's already built into the system layout.
The OP's suggestion is more akin to your duct tape solution since it doesn't solve the problem GÇö just shift it around. He conveniently forgets that one of the more popular directions to go from IV-4 is up and to the right, which is hardly ideal if you're underneath the station. In fact, it's probably worse than that: it's more akin to sawing off all legs to equalise them with the one that is broken, since the idea of shift the undock hinges on the stupid notion that there's only ever one direction you want to go. Hint: it isn't, and it pretty much never is straight down.
Your stuff is already fixed. Breaking out the hacksaw and tape just needlessly creates more problems at this point. GÇ£If you're not willing to fight for what you have in GëívGëí you don't deserve it, and you will lose it.GÇ¥

That's a terrible analogy. Firstly, the chair isn't broken. Secondly, if you fix the chair, 90% of the people that sit in it will put duct tape on it anyway, because in this case duct tape provides added value over a fixed chair regardless of whether you call it broken or not. What everyone seems to be missing here is that there never has been, nor ever will be, any kind of quality in Jita. Be that quality of life or quality of anything else.
