why are HACs allowed in 3/10 complexes? it's like a walk in the park for them. fly through, get the prize. assault frigs can do them easily too.
i suggest you don't allow hacs and maybe even assault frigs in 3/10 complexes. in a t1 cruiser it's more realistic. all those frigs can't even scratch a HAC...

More realistic is:
ancient acc gates were built long before t2 ships existace (they are ancient. yes?). They limit ships not because they are too powerfull for the complex dwellers (they were built when most complexers were legal, civilian installations with no problem of beeing regularily attacked by anyone) but because they are too heavy for the gate devices. And elite frigate is still a frigate.

Edited by: Aion Amarra on 02/04/2006 11:34:38 Besides the 3/10 complexes I did were a walk in the park even with a normal cruiser. HACs just take a little less time. Thus, to be honest I don't really see a problem at all (then again I was using a maller, and considering that among T1 cruisers, it's a really tough tank, my vision on the matter might be a bit skewed).
I think it should be left as is. Makes complex running a little more interesting when you're at war. =)

ok, I agree that even cruisers with decent skillset have no trouble in a 3/10 complex unless you act stupid and get the whole last stage swarm around you. and although I haven't flown a HAC yet, I think they could handle even the last swarm in a situation like that. so it's ridiculous.
it's the same with AFs. would be cooler if they wouldn't be allowed in there. only T1 ships. makes complexes more fun and a bit more challenging. and everyone who has a HAC probably has the T1 cruiser around somewhere. with their skills they won't have problems doing the complex in a T1 cruiser...

HAC's in 3/10 complexes is blatantly wrong.
It ridicules the risk vs. reward philosophy.
It is zero risk vs. great enough reward to keep even 1-2 year old chars doing them. T2 frigates are also hard, but you can compete with them in a T1 cruiser. So that's probably ok.
- T2 ships should be shifted one ship size upwards with regard to acceleration gates. - complexes should be completely random, non persistent, and part of the exploration concept.

3/10 and 4/10 complexes post RMR seems to have very little reward. I have never tried a 3/10 in my HAC but the 4/10s are not worth it. --- Wolven Elite Guard - Currently recruiting |

The discussion is about whether it makes sense to have HAC's in there. Not about personal view on the rewards.
As matter of fact there are some dedicated complex-farming alts in HAC's. Imho that's wrong, and it shows time/reward must be quite worth it. But, as being said, there's no risk.
