So I've been happily living in 0.0 for the past few months, and have been making buttloads of isk with hunting the belt rats. as I get more and more into it, I want bigger and badder spawns. So far I havent ran into anything that a little range cant deal with, even with the biggest spawns so far its just a matter of time to kill them.
But I obviously want the spawns with the biggest bounties. and more important than that is the named spawns. Does anyone have any tips on getting the best spawns? where to go? does popping the cans you dont take help respawns come faster? does chaining a good spawn still work? and whats the best way to do that? should i kill the whole spawn or just the battleships and cruisers, leaving the tiny frigs alone?
and also, when it comes to security status of the system, how much of a difference does it make in the True Security of the system?
basically im looking for tips that will help me bring in the isk faster and maybe deliver named spawns! dont be afraid to share!!!

I presume your chaining right ? If not do so.. !
The true sec of a system does very much alter the spawns that you will encounter. I dont have a link off hand but you should find one easy enough (eve-search) The one problem with chaining is that you are less likely to come across faction spawns which can be the easiest way to increase your turnover. Other than that cant really say... Ive done 4 days of NPC'ing in the last year

Problem with chain = No chance for officer (dread, dommination, true, shadow etc) type spawns appering.
Take the scorchered earth approach and kill everything you cant hit with a mining laser in a system with a med number of belts (7-10 ish) and then go next door and come back after a few mins.
I dont know the maths behind it but I have found this ups the chance of a tasty spawn by a fair ammount.

I dont know whather this is true but I heard the further out you go, the better the spawns are, well when I say better I mean harder and thus better loot.
Blowing up your old unlooted cans wont help though, whenever I belt rat I always leave a frigate behind to respawn the BS, the named rats will spawn in there own time and its better to be killing normal BSs rather than waiting around for ages hoping to get a named rat. Its also polite if theres other people ratting in the system to leave a frigate behind. _______________________________________________

No they wont spawn in their own time if the rest of the "old" spawn is coming back cos you left a frigate behind.

Could I get a quick definition and basic technique review for 'chaining'?

Chaining is when you keep the best spawns alive by killing them all except for one frig or cruiser or somesuch. Give that last NPC a bit of structure damage so that you are sure to never kill it if you see it later.
