Interesting.......yet incredibly boring at the same time.....why not use those capitol ships for fighting?
Unless thats what phase 4 is......fighting ascn's cap ship fleet maybe?
Or fighting each other in cap ships?......ah well, have fun, I suppose we'll all be watching.

BoB need to be careful though, going forward. All great empires have an 'imperial' phase where they seem omnipotent, and I have no doubt BoB are enjoying their own at the moment. But, all great empires have collapsed - the Roman Empire, British Empire, Third Reich. All are now but memories.
All at one time seemed untouchable, but you can be certain of one thing - history always repeats itself. Your overconfidence could well prove your downfall, but we shall see.
Thank you for providing such magnificent player-driven content to the game.
Dont link real life to eve in anyway. Some of us know the difference between the 2. You cant add "BoB empire" to the time line so i really dont see how "history" can repeat itself. People actually die in real life you know, death? Heard of it? They dont sit behind a PC and watch a little man get chopped in half by a sword and think "well **** now i need a new character".
BoB will be strong in EVE until they a) get bored or b) eve ends. Dont think for one second they will split, and definatly dont just wait for it so you can continue with your own eve career.
Tbh, the only thing impressive bout this latest BoB stunt is the logistics behind it, with ASCN/BoB/5/whatever else, it isnt hard to blob and lock down a system against a few enitity's of much smaller size. However, the number of dreads and how well organised they must have been is, taking out 36 pos's is a heck of alot of stront :P.

Nice move and overall logistics molle, I don't expect anything lesstbh.Harder to get others on that same thought, but live and learn ,adapt.
You have the nap's(friends)and you have the Capital ships. You got it all rolling when anyone that would care was too busy and already out numbered(but not losing). What else can you say, I think one poster said it alrdy. You got the numbers, you got the capital ships and good on ya.Took alot mroe than BoB getting on forums that day and saying hey... everyone to Ec-.Though I think a few prob where ike that.Point is it took more than just pressing a button a waalaa.
So now, we see EVE has changed a little bit more.Lets see how everyone adapts and the rest of EVE takes note.I hope to have many more engagments and fun ahead for both sides.

I've always considered your posts well thought out and informative woody... but I think you might have missed your usual high standard this time, whole south.. aren't we like missing just a few alliances?
note to map maker, everything else in the south except ascn & axe is now east!

Disclaimer: This is my very personal view on things and does in no way TRUST's official position towards recent events.
First of all, I really don't understand why the attack on EC-P8R is causing so much hate on the forums. There are at least five threads surrounding the recent events that are closed by now. Embarrassing. We are all witnessing a truely historic moment not just for EVE but for MMORPG's in general. A totally player-driven war on such a scale could only have happened in EVE. Although right now we as TRUST are degraded to spectators and are mostly condemned to view history being written in front of us, I am nothing but thrilled to be at the very heart of it. I just wish I had a clearer view through all those bubbles.
I don't think I am telling too much if I say that we knew for quite a while that this attack would come. But when I entered the game friday evening I couldn't believe my eyes. The sheer numbers were absolutely impressive. I have nothing but respect for the attacking parties for pulling this off and the cold professionalism with which this operation is executed. The organization and logistics behind this is something I thought only we could handle. I regard it a great honour to TRUST and all defenders of EC-P8R that some of the biggest alliances in EVE had to unite to have the heart to do this.
About the future of TRUST. Will this operation cripple TRUST as some were saying? No f***ing way It is definetly binding resources that would better be used elsewhere and we could certainly better live without that invasion, but it doesn't even seriously hurt our business. We continue to make ISK even while this war is still going on. It also doesn't even seriously hurt the capital ship production branch. We will continue to provide our customers with capital ships, be it G, IRON, BoB, The Five or anybody else who has the pockets for it. We will definetly have to have an internal debate about our political position but that's about the biggest effect this will have on TRUST.
This may all have sounded a bit positive. Don't get me wrong. It was really depressing to see how one after the other POS was falling without us being able to do anything about it. The outpost may not play such an important role for our production and our overall business but of course I am feeling quite emotionally attached to it. And yes, my heart was bleeding during the weekend and I killed a kitten just to do anything. We all know that EVE can be very cruel. But isn't it, among other things, the cruelty that we all love so much about this game? This time we may end up on the loosing side but EVE goes on and TRUST will get even stronger! Should we really loose the outpost, we couldn't have lost it in a better and more spectacular way. It is exactly such events that truely set apart EVE and that make me keep playing it! --- Proud member of T R U S T |

Well, maybe if BoB did that alone the legend would grow. However, it is BoB+5+ASCN+AXE. it's the same, on an alliance level, of ganking 1 BS in 5 at a gate. . Obviously this assuming G/IRON is behind TRUST. Otherwise the figures would be more like 30 BS vs 1 at a gate.
Curious to see what will be the loot though
PS: don't take this as a flame, but 3 major alliances to take a trade outpost seems an overkill to me. Surely it shows a good logistic and great security (unbeliavable this didn't get known given the sheer numbers).

You misunderstand me, I'm not linking real life to EVE directly, I'm talking about the psychology behind it - the feeling you are indestructable and riding the crest of a wave. You feel it will last forever, but it ever does.
Its a simple, plain, unavoidable fact that although EVE *is* just a game, player driven content like this is driven from real people. Real people are fallible. The same ups/downs that effect you in real life effect the decisions you make online when playing EVE.
I still stand by my assertion that BoB's biggest weakness is overconfidence, but perhaps that alone is not enough. We shall see.

As a concerned 'citezen' of the pure blind area i wish to pose a question
I assume the outpost will be a forward staging area for BOB and her allies attack on the north. But will this mean increased traffic through the area? or will the gates in EC be camped 24/7? is PB a no go area for everyone now?

"You thought BoB was evil? You havnt seen anything yet."
"Watch the legend grow"
The operation in EC is quite impressive. But I really have to notice that with statements like this you take all the credit for BOB "forgetting" the other alliances that are there with you.
PS: BOB and friends, dont bother to answer, I'm a brain dead, a retard, and I'm here to make you laugh
