Hey all, I've noticed that some people mine the roids in lvl 4 kill missions. Can someone let me know which missions are best for this, and if it's really worth bringing a miner out.

It can be done (I've done it).
Its probably only worth mining the Omber, as the rest is ten a penny anyway. You'll get several cans of Omber out of it. Since its deadspace you don't have to worry about can thieves.
If you got a few friends with Scythe / Osprey / Barges then go for it.
Takes ages if you try and do it by yourself though.
Just be aware, belt rats do spawn, so make sure someone has got some combat drones. It'll only be frigates / low end cruisers appropriate to the security rating of the system you are in __________________________________ Are you a mission runner? Duo of death is the best mission for this. 6 big Ombers.
Vengence has a few roids, as does Angel Extravaganza.
Not really worth dragging a barge through multiple deadspace gates though.
The aforementioned Enemies abound is the best for volume, I have heard. However it also carries those nasty faction standing losses for just doing the mission.

L4 vengeance: 3x 90k m¦ omber. You can finish the mission and mine the roids within time for the time bonus with two cruisers. --*=*=*-- Megadon CCP wanted a well known artist and celebrity to test the new font so it's approval would be well known. They got Ray |

Downing the slavers (part 2) lvl 3 has 8 omber roids with 50k units in each. It's not deadspace, so warping in and out to collect your cans is a breeze.
Mind you though, the 2nd room of this mission is probably one of the hardest challenges you'll encounter on any lvl 3 mission (if you're in a BC).

Human Cattle (Level 2) has a 90k omber asteroid in the second pocket.

Enemies Abound 1 of 5 is a good source of Omber and Kernite. I think 3 of 5 also has a little Omber in it (less than 1 of 5), but could be mistaken.
I usually offer the roids in local and let others mine it until just before the bonus reward runs out as I hate to see good roids go unmined but don't mine myself. Meanwhile I go and run missions for another agent or take a break and read a book.

Slave trader 1o2 is good too,
Also mining in missions is good so you can act like your shooting NPC when instend your realling mining.
Also its harder for your corp mates to get screenies of you for blackmail.

The best omber to be had in any mission is Level 4 Enemies Abound 1/5. There are more omber asteroids than you can count...well, I stopped at 15 and I can't count much higher than that.
The rocks here are mostly 90k as well, so if you get this mission, milk it for all it's worth. A few members of my corp mined this mission not long after I joined and the end result was something like 500k of isogen after processing, not bad for about 3 hours mining.

Necro ftw!!
Anways - L1 Storyline mission "A Case of Kidnapping" has in its 4th room, 180K omber - 3 roids in total. Nice little profit each day of the mission duration up in Caldari space. -------

Tbh I forget the mission name but it was a L4 with many omber roids and scordite. I basically cleared the room each day, as the rats and roids respawn each d/t if you dont complete the mission. I think during the week it was open I mined 1.6mil omber out of it plus assorted scord. So yeah missions are great mining platforms. Over 100mil worth of iso just out of that mission alone. Then I completed it the last day and got the reward, just no 1mil isk bonus. Oh shucks.
There are quite a few depending on what ores you need. And you can basically run several missions till you get a good one then mine it. And run the other missions. Boring but it pays.
