In other words from the eve website without logging in game. Would help with all of the short time skills. For the most part I just train long ones while offline, I'm just ending up with alot of skills at 2 and 3 hours left. No biggy if there is now way, would just be nice.

Nope, and the way your currently doing it (short skills online, long skills while offline) is a very decent and common way to manage it.

Nope, Nein, Nadda, no way, can't do it.
As said before, its just a way to make sure you play the game. Those 2/3 hour trains are good for while you are online, as i'm sure you know.
anyone else notice this topic has come up a lot lately? this is like the 3rd or 4th time I've seen in in the last 2 weeks! _______________

Lol if your boss at work will let you install that though, you probally could get away with logging into eve and changing skills that way! _______________

I don't even think you need to install it. I read somewhere that you could just copy the Eve directory onto a USB key disk and use it from that.

Imagine how long it would take to start up.

Ok understand the whole usb idea, love the idea by the way. But before i go and put my job on the line. Im the only one in the office at work so unless they can remotly minitor what i am playing on the net no one will know.
Is there any way that some one will be able to see that i have been playing eve from the usb at work? Or will it just show up that i am on the internet?
Regards

I am a Network Administrator by day and, yes, it would be possible to view the traffic going to and from your computer. However, unless your company and put some sort of screen-shot spy software on your computer, they won't be able to see exactly what you are doing...
That being said, it won't look like you are just on the internet because EVE uses a different port than web browsing. Due to the port difference, it may look worse to your company than plain-old web browsing. I am responsible for the security of the network at work and I wouldn't take to kindly to someone sneaking a game in. However, there are people at my company who play EVE and WoW during lunch (they got permission from their supervisors).

On the network I run it is very easy to see if someone is doing somethign they shouldnt - as soon as anything odd is detected like a connection ot the (eve server for example) it'll tell me what the program is, who ran it, where and what time. Worth risking your job over? Not on your life mate, just wait till you get home :)

Just out of curiosity (I'm also a netadmin), what tool(s) are you using for this functionality?

Popular solutions:

Can run layers 1-7 and work with your network provider to install monitoring in the cloud if you wish. Can be fooled, but you've got to be really savvy to pull one over on either of these guys.

Asset Insight is a bit more intrusive and more easily circumvented (software can be killed with task manager and re-initiated between reporting intervals.
