I recently received a reimbursement petition response that went something like this.
While we appreciate the logs and information you provided us, We sadly can't use them as evidence on a investigation, as mentioned in our policy.
"Due to the fact that logs and screen shots are easily altered, we unfortunately cannot accept player statements, chat logs or screen shots, as definitive evidence for these cases. This does not mean that we assume that players are not telling the truth. It is simply done to ensure fair play and game balance is maintained, allowing those who have found an exploit to continue to use it.".
For every case, we have to follow our policies, and we can't do any exception. Unfortunately, for any particular case reported, NO action will be possible.
DO NOT bother us, submitting bug reports/petitions - We know our servers are overloaded and have problems. As long as you continue to pay us to play on them, we don't care.
CCP/kiss my ass
Just an experienced players observation. This is in no way a call to stop playing EVE. Just something for every player to keep in mind. This is the Nastiest game you can play anywhere in cyberspace. Your losses are permanent, you will never get them back.

But you haven't been playing for ten+ years, you're lying. For all I know, you bought this toon off the bazaar. However, even if you had been playing for 10+ years, that doesn't grant you any special privilege. That kind of thinking leads to elitism, and hubris, and other not-very-virtuous qualities.
I'm playing EVE as it really is. I don't petition every ship loss that gets my willy in a knot.

Just to place all of the cards in the table.
I came to the EVE beta tests after 4 years running servers for another game. Doing all of the programming for new functions, map building, running tournaments and dealing with players at all levels of the game . I kept the game alive(programming, physical hardware,internet connections) for close to three years at my own expense.
I finally gave it up and shut it all down. Only to be known as the 50 year old fat man from Minnesota pretending to be woman. (Total Slander)
EVE has been good to me since GÇô always a challenge GÇô adapt or die.
I was a bit discussed with the petition response , but then I remember all of the whining crap I had to put up with and I understand their point of view. CCP is light years ahead of any thing I ever worked on and they are doing one hell of a good job.
All I am asking is that they take a closer look at what is really happening on the servers and to their players before making a decision in response to a players petition.
I was a single person dealing with it, they have an entire group. Yes the stress is high, but please take a closer look.

Except that what you posted in the OP was not the response you received. You just decided to put your own emotional inflection on it because you were mad, but I'll bet my bottom dollar that CCP did not state, "DO NOT bother us, submitting bug reports/petitions - We know our servers are overloaded and have problems. As long as you continue to pay us to play on them, we don't care." You interpreted it in your own way, but I'll bet you missed the point of why they can't rely on player-provided information, even though they explained it to you. Of course, you should understand this just fine if you'd been doing it yourself, but now I find it hard to believe that, either.

Although the OP is whining/is a bit mad, he does make some good points in his later posts. CCP can't and won't accept player provided information like chat logs and screenshots, but the sad part is after they say they can't accept that, they don't care to check the logs.
When a player takes a screenshot or a recording of an issue, CCP has the logs on the back end to back this up or disprove it. Most of the time they don't even care to check to see if you are lying or not. It's amazing how many ship deaths are due to the game's faults not players (Yes in comparison to all ships lost this is very very small), but the big issue here is CCP support staff just seem to be a bunch of fat lazy neckbeards sitting in their basement chairs eating Cheetos lol |

My corp. just lost three HACs several months ago to a highsec wormhole bug.
CCP just suggested the usual "clear your cache" solution and suggested it was my problem.
Then the bug went away with the next patch, no reimbursement.
Eve is a harsh game. I think to get reimbursed you have to be a big-wheel in Nullsec otherwise you're just one of the people who does not matter.
Also, being a "single-shard" game, demand outstrips supply, so to speak, so I don't see a motive for CCP to worry about the contentment level of the little guys.
Anyway your assessment is spot-on.
EDIT: Also keep in mind that most responses to posts like yours will be pounced on by condescending neck-beards.

Let me tell you a story.
I'd been playing for about a year, and had been convinced to move everything I own up to null sec by my alliance. I happily obliged and contracted them all my stuff. It got moved, I trusted them, and thankfully wasn't being scammed. Unfortunately our peaceful time was short lived and White Noise moved in and hell camped our stations for weeks. The alliance I was in died in a fire and everything was falling apart. This was just before PL ploughed through (what was then called) Northern Coalition space and killed everything with a gigantic pre-nerf Titan fleet..
So, I left that space. I managed to put everything I owned in the whole Eve universe into a Crane and got out of system. I did everything right, with a friend scouting for me checking gates. In the last null sec system before I get everything into low sec, my friend scouting tells me there is a small frigate gate camp, but not to worry because there is no bubble and no HIC. So great, I jump through confident that I will be able to cloak before they lock me. But when I get to the other side of the gate, I am sitting 500m from a Dramiel. Game over. I click warp, but I can not cloak. I get locked. I lose everything.
Do you know how I felt? It felt bad. Do you know what I did? I shrugged it off and got over it. Went back to highsec in my pod and started again from a n00b ship. Borrowing a little money here and there from friends.
So, the moral of my story is that you say that you've been playing for 10 years, and imply that perhaps your a vet. But this bitching doesn't seem 'vet' like to me. Until you've got to a point where you could lose everything and carry on fine without bitching and whining, your still just a n00b. Man the **** up.
