Hi,
Considering to get an Apoc navy Issue for lvl4 missions. Mainly i am running incursions for isk, got a lilttle bored and want to run lvl 4 missions just for fun. Problem is that i have mainly shield skills, is that a good option to fit an apoc with shield tank? Or better to get armor skills. Would be great to see some good fits. PS. I know that Navy Apoc is not the best option for mission running, but i like Amarr bs and lazors and just as said its for fun.
Thanks in advance. |

It would be probably better to get some armor skills for it, since it is a very very nice hull in a armor fitting, my absolute favourite actually if you look at Amarr BS, because it combines dps, range and speed in a very nice way.

Sure you could fit it shield, but you probably will lose out on the mobility of the hull, what is one of the biggest advantages of the hull.

You can not fly an Navy Apoc with an shield tank. Djegos fitts may look "ok" but you will have to capboost all the time, just to keep firing. Either save the money for a Nightmare or train for T2 Armortank (should take you a week) 97% of girls would die if Justin Bieber were about to jump off a cliff. You can always try the Paladin.
Works like a charm with Bastion, MJD, Tachyons and Shieldboost. 97% of girls would die if Justin Bieber were about to jump off a cliff. Post this in your sig if you`re part of the 3% yelling,

I'd fit pulse to a paladin. 100km optimal on scorch and 200 more dps on conflag than tachs.
it's disgusting really. |

Yeah, but then one should go for MWD + Tracking Comps so sadly no shieldtank.
But yes, MWD Pulse Paladin is freakin strong. 97% of girls would die if Justin Bieber were about to jump off a cliff. Post this in your sig if you`re part of the 3% yelling,

With good skills, you can run a shield MJD tach Napoc with no problems.

Jump once, melt everything. You only need to cycle your XL-ASB momentarily until the MJD re-spools, tank is really no problem in L4s. Its a little inefficient compared to the armor variant though, mainly due to the power of scripted TCs. |

If you use a laser Legion in a level 4 - dual-webs, or a Federation Navy web. It will take forever to kill Guristas and Angels, best not to bother using it against them. (It works surprising well against Serpentis.) 18 million an hour against Serpentis, like clockwork, not counting LP or mission bonuses.
It is entertaining, though not very efficient. I probably could have pushed up the income, if I tried. Oh, and kill every webbing frigate ASAP, it doesn't matter if it's a spawn or not. |

HAMS work, of course. Against Guristas the Tengu is a much better HAM platform in just about every respect, though.
Her post was about looking for something different. Laser Legions are not often used as Level 4 missioning ships, and I have to say, it's a really different experience flying one in a level 4 from a normal missioning setup. |

Something else you may consider, instead of going bs for fun, down ship. There are several L3s and L4s that can be done with an assault frig. It is HIGHLY inefficient, but a lot of fun. Be warned though manual flight is a must as well as careful mission selection. |
