Here is a short list of things CCP can do to increase the playerbase.
- High sec PvP flag, Make high sec safe sec so people who want to play the game casually without their experience being ruined can enjoy the game.
- Reduce skill training time to something tolerable.
- Have GMs provide consequences for scamming.
- Consequences for corps and alliances that undertake large scale greifing operations.
- War dec immunity flag in high sec
- Generally make the game more pleasant for people who lack mental disorders.

- No. Try another game, that destroys the niche.
- No. That caters to attention deficient children and dilutes what intelligent community we have.
- No. That is really lame and cost of those GM's time would probably be more than it is worth.
- No. Make friends and learn the ways to get around this.
- No. This will make griefing without consequences in other systems possible. A safe haven for the people you hate.
- No. Get out troll, go back to Waste of Web
Ideas and CSM stuff No matter the changes, high sec people chose the safests. Lots of stick and they will leave. Half the problem is the players in null sec; we do not want to be there with you. |

I live in High Sec, but even I disagree with the suggested changes. EVE is a mature game for mature players, and while I strongly advocate expansion, I don't support protecting people through artificial means (such as GM intervention and PVP-flagging). Let players learn how to fly safe if that's the game they enjoy - don't force it on them.

Eh, I dunno, #2 is something I've mentioned before on the old forums.
Make rats have a chance to drop Skill Point Books* that are "Bind on Pickup"** with a daily cap as to how much SP you can 'bank' on (say 10k per 24hr using server downtime as start point).
EVE doesn't have a whole lot for people like me (inb4urstupid). For me when I stop progressing my character in a noticeable way like through leveling. Everything just feels like side-progression.
So it would be nice to have a "carrot" that rewards me for actually logging in more than once every 24hrs to add to my skill queue.
Seriously, my character isn't going to get any better if I login and play for 4hrs or if I login for 2min to set a skill training; no incentive to login or even STAY logged.
*Points based on level of the rat destroyed compared with your "derived level"; so that fancy Titan main of yours can't go into a lvl 2 combat mission and expect 500 SP Books to drop **Introduce a RNG that will randomly pick a rewardee should there be a group; this prevents mains from bring alts in and "gifting" all the SP books to them [per cap limit]
Who knows, maybe if hi-seccers could train faster and get into the bigger ships they'd be more likely to go null-sec
anywhos, EEEEeeeee! Only 137D 16H 35M till my Military Ship queue is finished. And only 125D 4H 52M till I have most of the "Military" Certs at 'Standard' or better. |

Yes indeed. Allthough a lot of subs would be lost as well. And you left out the most important one:
- PVP arenas for casual PVP

eve is not safe. safe is boring. reward without risk turns eve into collecting imaginary objects. Plenty of other games for that.
Nothing wrong with skill training. Fear not, you'll be able to buy training time boosters for aurum soon enough.
Scamming is feature not a bug.
griefing is already a no-no, however I think you're definition of griefing differs from ccp's. [edit: your definition is the one that's wrong, in case you're wondering ]
war dec immunity? never going to happen.

Shush go away with "your" logic.
What is and what is not EVE is not upon the playing entity to say. Its up to the one who own the game / CCP.
Sure there is some player consensus what EVE is, suppose to be, will become, was. But that doesnt prove anything.
P.S. And even if those "troll proposed changes" will become reality i doubt very hardly that it will help EVE. EVE is not "generic type MMO no. 146" And bringing up rules from those are not compatible with the game. |

Ok after reading all this trash you guys are throwing at the OP let me quote a posting from Serene a player here who has really epitomizes why people really dont like you PVP biggots honestly...
{ Have you ever considered the reason most people don't go into null or low sec is because you're out there? This may be hard to believe, and it isn't meant as an insult. If your idea of "play" is destroying things, including the efforts and aspirations of other people, and you're unhappy with null and low sec because there's just not enough people out there to get your ya yas out, it may be highly likely the problem is with you, not the mechanics of the game.
The reason I say this is this issue of null/low/hi sec keeps getting tossed around, but the cogent point about why players aren't encouraged with the idea of leaving hi sec specifically isn't really covered adequately, or is so heavily stomped on by the "destructive" players who also can't seem to keep their attitudes confined to their playing "styles."
So, here it is. The great majority of EVE players do not find constantly fighting with no real opportunity to be creative (rather than destructive) a satisfying, enjoyable or productive way to spend time. This obviates (Google it) itself by the sheer numbers of complaints from the destructive players, and the relative lack of similar complaints by those who are contemptuously labeled "Care Bears." It's even to the point where the destructive minority is urging CCP to change game mechanics to force the productive players into their arena so they may be supplied with a steady stream of victims.
Oddly enough, this disdain for a destructive gaming style has not so much to do with cowardice (and the destructive types with some sort of bravery) as it has to do with the mind-numbing repetitiveness of destructive gameplay. Face it. More intelligent, and widely versed people require something a bit more intricate than pew pew to attract their interest. Self-imagined thugs, however, need only to kick a hole in something to get their titillating giggles out. The adrenalin rush is okay. The satisfaction of seeing an intricately planned and well-executed creation reach fruition is much, much better.
As long as the majority of players see null and low sec as a sucker's bet populated only by those that intend to destroy everything creative players build, just to provide yucks for a minority of vocal (putting it nicely) vandals you will NOT see a major migration of hi sec players into low or null sec. Funny thing about intelligent people. They aren't stupid.
Read it and weep. }
Now you guys sit there and waste your breaths yelling at me about how your abuse towards others is really going to change anything other than show most of the community, how many of you are still wearing diapers and crying for your bubbas, because honestly all i see coming out of your mouths is **** and biggotry, if you cant accept the players suggesting radical ways of improving the game, then perhaps its "YOU" who needs to ship out of this game and start living your own lives instead of trying to ruin the experience of thousands for your own pleasures. Seriously this HAS to stop... If anything from what ive seen I feel like a ******* babysitter to the PVP crowd because they arent getting their way or hearing what they like, if you dont like something.. you can easily take a sewing needle and thread and sew your mouth shut for a change and let people express themselves you are NOT "GOD" nor are you even on the same level as a religious figure so why condemn those who are only trying to find ways to improve things.. You ******* biggots make me sick... Step back and check yourselves before vindicating anyone else!... GROW UP!
