I feel sick to my stomach when I pvp. I will come out in a combat ship when neutrals come into the system I have my main in, to defend. But I still feel sick. I have always felt this way when doing pvp in any game. But more so when I play this game. "Please stop reopening silly rumor threads."-á CCP Navigator. |

Solo pvp always gives you the shakes. The adrenaline spikes up when you see more **** on d-scan coming to help your target. "Oh, you think nullsec is your ally. But you merely adopted nullsec; I was born in it, moulded by it. I didn't see the light until I was already a man, by then it was nothing to me but BLINDING!"

I do, but I try to control the adrenaline rush. I'm kind of old, I don't want to have a heart attack. If I'm going to "die in the saddle," it doesn't mean ATK playing EVE. |

I don't really get the "shakes" when I PVP, but I do feel this little hint of adrenaline coming through. Not a lot or anything, but enough to give quite a thrill.
The most noticeable feeling is not during a fight, but right before a fight. Like when you're warping in with your allies and you know that when you land there are going to be enemies ready to kill you as soon as you pop onto the grid. That sort of "****'s about to go down" feeling.
Once the battle actually starts, I tend to get calmer, maybe it's just the fact that I need to focus more. Watch Fred Fred Frederation and stop cryptozoologist! Fight against the brutal genocide of fictional creatures across New Eden! Is that a metaphor? Probably not, but the fru-fru- people will sure love it! |

me too, I hate the idea of being deployed but once I am out there I am a good soldier and follow orders and act competently. When I was new I used to get the jitters a lot but after a while you develop combat reflexes and start to see past them.
Combat in eve is never a pleasant experience though. In that regard Eve offers something that other games don't that being real and measurable consequences to your actions that's why combat is so frightening. It's a knife edge out there.
To this day the target lock sound is one of the most disturbing noises I've heard. Dumbing down of Eve Online will result in it's destruction... |
