Is there a Guide or list that shows the effects of Security Status?
I didnt know that if I went below -2.5 or whatever I would be fired upon in 1.0 and 0.9 space by the NPCs. Lost a nice Thorax to that. Now Im stuck in a crappy deadend of systems with no way out. Any advice on how to remedy this?

You can travel in your pod if you want--you aren't an outlaw until -5.

You're only -2.5 though--you can go up to 0.8 security space.

Yes Dark, but get this. Theres my Home system and 5 other low sec systems nearby. The only way out of this 6 system set is through a 0.9 system. So Im screwed.
Thank you Wrangler! Thats just what I was looking for.

Ok, you hosed your Avatar "because you could" you have broken the law so now you are an outlaw, at least you have not completly hosed your self.
well to answer your question, basicly it worked like this:
1.0 All law abiding ppl welcome 0.9 law abiding and those that slipped welcome (-.1 rating or higher) 0.8 Law abiding and nusance ppl (-.2 and above) etc... to 0.0 Anything goes.
Basicly subtract your score from the base 1.0 and round down, any system with that score or lower you can go into without the cops chasing you.
Your best option is to: A. Go to low sec space and kill rats and obey the laws which will raise your score back up. B. Find an agent and pay them to raise your score. C. Follow you current path and accept that you want to be a hunted criminal, move to low sec space.

All the systems here are 0.4 with 1 0.3 I have been killing belt rats for a week now and my Sec hasnt changed. So, I guess Option A is really really slow.
As for Option B, what sort of Agent would I be looking for?
Im not a Pirate, I just dont let people get away with harrassing me or my corpmates, but I shouldnt have killed thier pods....

Completely wrong...
Above -2 = travel anywhere -2.4999 to -2 = can't go into 1.0 -2.9999 to -2.5 = can't go into 0.9 -3.4999 to -3 = can't go into 0.8 -3.9999 to -3.5 = can't go into 0.7 -4.4999 to -4 = can't go into 0.6 -4.9999 to -4.5 = can't go into 0.5 -5 = outlaw.

He can NPC in high sec space too, you know.

Also the NPC law will not attack you in your pod... Though players might. So you can move to low sec in your pod without being fire on by NPCs
Wrong again! Players can't fire on your pod until you're -5.

Rat-killing is slow, but works.
The larger the rat, the more boost you get to security status, so try killing bigger ones.

Your right about the sec rating,, they have changed in the last year and half.
Quote: Wrong again! Players can't fire on your pod until you're -5.
Actually your wrong, Players can fire on you if they dont mind fighting concord. My point was that most players would not shoot at him but a Prat might.

Well, yeah. Of course, technically. But generally in EVE by "cannot" people mean "cannot without being CONCORDOKKENED." Nobody's going to fire on a pod for no reason and lose -1.2 sec status unless its someone really really famous and they have nothing better to do.
