Can anyone explain this penality with stacking certain items like dmg mods? I just don't get it. A once retired pilot, now, once again helping those that fight the good fight. |

The idea is to keep people from getting ludicrous values in certain stats. Like 90-100% resistance to all damage types on shields.

Well I understand that. But what about the dmg mods? A once retired pilot, now, once again helping those that fight the good fight. |

My 425 railgun's base damage is 2.5
I have Large hybrid lvl3 which makes it: 2.5 x1.05 x1.05 x1.05 = 2.894
I have surgical strike at lvl3 which makes it: 2.894 x1.03 x1.03 x1.03 = 3.16
I have 5 magnetic stabilizers(hybrid weapon mods)
3.16 x1.07 x1.06 x1.055 x1.05 x1.045 = 4.14 (approximate values)
You can figure this out by inversly dividing the damage mod with each additional weapon module.
As you can see, the multiplication factor after each additional module of the same type diminishes as the amount rises.
Not as deadly as before, however, deadly whatsoever. :)

p.s. it is better to equip Dual250 railguns instead of 425 railguns in many aspects such as ability to use more low slots for damage mods, and lesser cap usage, and also more ammo capacity. Overally, dual weapons will rock.

Thanks.
Now I have another question. How the hell does Accuracy Falloff and Optimal Range work? A once retired pilot, now, once again helping those that fight the good fight. |
