I've got an issue with the EVE online launcher. I'm trying to launch the game, I log in succesfully and it attempts to update. However, while updating it says 'Client update was unsuccesful', and it gives the error I present below.
I've been loosing several days of skill training because of this issue, and it's getting frustrating. I'm running the game on my Windows 7 32 bit laptop.
I hope a fix can be found, I have tried the repair tool, but it seems to have no effect of any kind. I'm also running in administrator mode, so that isn't the problem either. Can anyone help me with this?
Here is the error it gives:

It takes on average 3-6 hours for me to do any update since the rubicon. No one at ccp seems to care, theres a ton of people complaining about it daily (everyone just says I have bad internet, but its completely fine doing everything but updating eve...odd eh?). I've started getting this same issue now too.
You can try running the repair tool, it usually works after a taking a few hours to download an 18MB patch. You can also try running bin/exefile.exe which will download the patch in a different way, but that also will likely take several hours.

I've been losing up to almost a week of skill training time and I cannot help with the war my corp is in. I'm hoping CCP fixes this issue fast, and I would really like to see the lost skill points reimbursed as a new character can use all the early skillpoints available! |
