Hi I often roam with a friend in wormholes with our bombers. Several times we have seen an industrial ship taveling between the POS and the high sec.
We tried to bomb them as they activate the WH but without success...
I would like to know good tactics to catch them. :-D
thanks! |

My guess would be for one bomber to stalk them into hisec. Wait for the indy to jump back into the wormhole and tackle them there. Or have an interdictor waiting on the hisec side of the wormhole, jump it in and pop a bubble when the indy is in warp. |

Well it is not possible to prevent him to jump back in high sec... Is it possible to put a cloaked scout on the high sec side of the wormhole and to launch a bomb just before the indus activate the wormhole? |

What?
If you're trying to catch him coming back in from highsec, sit cloaked inside the hole, when he comes back in decloak, point and launch torpedoes. |

Another option: If you know where he is going to warp to, kill him at his POS.
To do this, put a cloaked bubbler inline between his POS and the WH, ideally at 400-500 km's away from the POS (so you are out of POS weapon's range, but make sure you are still on grid with the POS). If he comes into system, decloak and pop a bubble before he can initiate warp. If he warps to the POS, he'll land in your bubble and you can gank him.
Obviously, if he has eyes at the POS, this often won't work.

Thank you i ll try that!
But if you jump in a wormhole, it is possible that you will appear at less than 2000meters on the other side and that you will be able to jump back instantly no? |

Indeed it is. If they are smart they will jump right back out. The bubble off the pos thing works as previously mentioned. Signature Removal in Progress, Estimated time of completion? Neva |

The indy would warp right through the bubble, land at 0 and jump out. In order for a bubble to effect the warpee, the bubble has to be activated before the warpee initiates warp.

In the amount of time it takes you to pop an industrial with a couple stealth bombers (if you have 3 bombers there is no way it will take more than 2 volleys) it's unlikely you're going to have an Indy pilot on the ball enough to process that instead of warping he's been aggressed and pointed by ships he didnt realiz were there and that he needs to quickly jump back through where he came from. It's possible, but it's unlikely |

This basically, or if you have a T2 Small Anchorable bubble odds are you can probably anchor it at the hole itself before he comes back (1 minute anchor time).
Personally I like to use Anchorable bubbles in both situations, doesn't put a flare on DScan like a ship decloaking does. -Bl+¦d |

Thats why you anchor it while he is out in high sec.. or hope his POS is off DScan from the hole. -Bl+¦d |

lol - pirate tears are the best
1) i suggest one of you "man up" and get a ship that can tackle, an expensive T2 inty or dictor perhaps? 2) please note, this means you won't be invisible and must take (GASP) some risk while trying to gank hapless industrials 3) get ready to be disappointed at the value of the cargo found and have an alt that can carry it for you in a nearby cloaked industrial.
Jesus. Man up really. Use a ship designed to pvp, not some pansy ass cloaking tactics.
Always amazed at the number of "leet" pvper's that spend all day trying to shoot industrials and mining barges.

This is a terrible post from someone who clearly has no experience in wormholes and should be discounted entirely |

Important question: is the industrial in question a Blockade Runner, or just a t1 hauler? If it's the latter, you can probably just kill it by pointing him when he comes back through the hole and torpedoing him (don't bother with bombs against soft targets that you can just murder). The former is going to require shenanigans with bubbles and some decloaking tricks. |

I think it is the epithal that is also problematic. Not so much for pos <--> HS, but more for PI hauling from POCO <--> pos. It gets a huge PI bay, so the lows typically contain multiple stabs. Pointing them of late has been useless. To get these little buggers you need several points or those fance shmancy 3 point scrams (130 mil or so each).
The plus side of those fancy shmancy scrams is that they also keep ventures in place (though ventures are fast little buggers, so just putting 3 points on them isn't the complete answer in most cases)
I use 'just over 350km' from the target pos. A cloaked 'show info' of the online mods is a pretty easy way to see how far you need to be to remain out of harms way. All the module ranges are listed. I personally like cloaky HICs for this and one of my guys likes cloaky interdictors. Both have different advantages.
By the way, this works on all unwary ships, not just HS haulers. Once you get used to setting it up, it goes pretty efficiently. |

If the pilot's in a T1 industrial you don't even need to point him. One volley of torps will pop him unless he's fitted extenders. Of course this means you have to be relatively close to him and have to be able to target quickly. Not sure what your skills are like but you may want to look at them as part of your tactics.
You could put a cloaked tackler on the k-space side of the wh and jump it into the hole when the industrial jumps out, sit it on the hole uncloaked and wait for him to jump back in.
This really shouldn't be that hard with two people. i would understand the need for the thread if it was a solo bomber perhaps. |

Actually, if you want to kill an Industrial that is going from a WH to Highsec,
pretty much all of the stuff here is... kinda meh.
Dragbubble at his POS, while a good idea, will just lead to a probably empty Hauler killed. Waiting for him on the WH to come back, point n shoot him when he jumps back in, while is a good idea to start with, will probably result in him moonwalking back to highsec.
For Wormholes, you need to be within 5 km to activate.
What you have to do in order to get fancy loot is:
Watch him in the hole. When he warps to the Highsec hole, let him pass through. On the other side, what you will need, is cheap ass gank catalysts. Shoot him.
He can now decide whether to jump back into the hole, or to die. If he jumps back into the hole, decloak, bubble, kill him.
Bring a hauler, scoop the loot. |

Nobody is crying here boy :) (except maybe the guy who looks for posts from a month ago to troll?) things changed a bit during this month but No i do(did) not have any experience of wormhole, No i do not have a lot of experience in pvp
and the case is quite specific : a wh between WHspace and highsec. Let take the case of any other target than indus if you prefer. What are you doing with your inty on a WH leading to HiSec?
So, as i understood from the usefull posts around yours, insta depop on T1 or cloaky dictor between wh and POS seem to be the best solutions.
Anyway, I joined an experimented corp since then and i am now able to learn to pvp like a proper white knight like Muffet now :) thanks everyone for your tips |
