CCP, we used to have a lot of cool stuff in the EVE store like coasters and playing cards etc... now all we have is a few items of clothing. While they are pretty cool if you don't live in the EU you are still forced to pay in Euros! Why so expensive? I'm from Australia and it costs $120 just for one jacket after postage. I could walk into the average store here and get something of comparable or better quality for half that price. Please consider some more options for the store... more items and lower prices, especially for us international buyers! |

Agreed, the new store is disappointing.
I used to browse through the larger collection on the old store every payday and buy myself something nice. A cool Amarr or Caldari teeshirt here, a mug or keyring there, etc. But now? We've only got a store with around a half dozen items, all of which are so overpriced that I'm never going to be purchasing from it. I guess I'll have to hit up eBay if I want any of those awesome official EVE shirts from the old store. ~ Remissus |

I have a fantastic Minmatar hoodie and a framed picture of a Hurricane hull on my wall. My daughter got me both of them for Christmas because she's the best daughter in the world. She didn't get either of them from the CCP store though because she's 10yr old. She'd have to do chores for a month to make $120. Too bad CCP didn't get that money because their store is stupid. I know violence isn't the answer. I got it wrong on purpose. |

never again "CCP is changing policy, and has asked that we discontinue the bonus credit program after November 7th. So until then, enjoy a super-bonus of 1B Blink Credit for each 60-day GTC you buy!"

CCP can you give us an update on what's happening with the store if you read this? To get the collector's edition to Australia cost more than a year's subscription to the damn game all up. I'm not just talking about that though, the clothes are cool, but more options needed and definitely a price cut... |

The shipping is mental. It is, hyperbolically, cheaper to fly to their depot and pick it up in person than it is to have it shipped to your door. Feels that way, at least.
And I really miss the ship models. |

mmm pickles. The pickles weren't in the original design. It was an aesthetic choice by one of the Devs during the planning phase. Its in a thread somewhere.(I'm actually serious on this.) Since the cessation of their usefulness is imminent, may I appropriate your belongings? |

They need simple items in the store, things like mugs and t-shirts with faction logos on them.
Also more ship models. |

The store is pretty bad. Its a store for a game about spaceship with no spaceship models, good thing I can buy overpriced clothes though. Even when they had models it was only for 4 ships and they were like $70-80 pre-shipping.
Why are there no reasonably priced spaceship models? I don't want to buy "illegally" but if CCP is just going to sit on their IP I'm not going to feel bad about paying to get them 3D printed. [ASK] Me about drive by thread shitting! |

They really need shipping and dist. sites in EU and US. I still can't understand why they think people will buy stuff when the shipping costs are enough to deter you from even placing an order. Really sad.
I'm no expert but, I bet I could do the US piece if they were looking for someone.

Ship models.... I was going to get my son one. I'll have to go to ebay however. I'm not likely to buy from the Eve store, not if the selection is as meager as it is or as expensive. I can draw with a marker on a T shirt and have a T shirt with a Rifter on it if I want one that bad. NO I will not take your sister for payment! I'm married to one sister already! |

To be honest with you, i'd sooner CCP allowed us to pay for the right to print a transfer of some aspect of their IP on whatever clothing we desire.
Zero cash and very pissed off punters is negative income and publicity, especially when compared to allowing us to "Go forth and advertize for you" at a nominal fee.

Sad fact is that if I wanted some decent EVE branded gear chances are I would have to go to a non authorized third party that don't give a f*** about the copyright issues.
Which I have never done of course....
I love my Gurista underpants. Now if only I could find someone to make me a a pair of white boxer shorts with a thorax on the front and a dominix on the back...

It's been over a week and my signed EVE: Source book still has not left Germany. Why are we paying over $30 for shipping? I've ordered stuff from Japan for a fraction of that shipping and it's arrived quicker. Bombastic vintage soul with a driving groove, brass & male vocal |

Going over the comments here it looks like the current store is worse then the old store, which I thought couldn't get any worse.
Having said that I have no complaints about the pre-order and delivery of the EVE second decade box. All I want now are some big posters with no stupid cq-cg characters on it for on my walls.
For the new Monetization Director whom ever you'll be, you can start right ^there, I have my money ready. |

This very topic was discussed in the recent CSM summit. In fact CCP were the ones who brought it up, and the CSM were unanimous in echoing the sentiments expressde in this thread.
IIRC, my exact words to David Reid were: "There are a hell of a lot of EVE players who want to buy EVE swag. And they are buying it; they're just not buying it from you."

Models were announced at Fanfest: "To start off, CCP plans to offer two ship model types so that there can be a sense of scale congruent to the game. The first is a 10" model line, built by Quantum Mechanix, with the Megathron starting the run. To compliment this and provide a "larger than life" feel, CCP is working with a second model publisher, Triforce, to produce a 28" model line, with the Nyx being the first run. Finally, CCP t0rfifrans hinted at a release on March 20, 2015" http://themittani.com/news/fanfest-2014-ccp-presents |

I can only assume that the store isn't a money-making venture, and it is probably a chore to administer. That said, gamers, especially Eve players are emotionally tied into their games unlike most others...even more so than those that live for Minecraft or WOW. The more you can do to integrate the game into their real life, the more strength the connection between the two. The long-term relationship building that a having beautiful ship model siting nicely on the shelf in sight of the player of drinking from an Eve-branded cup is a marketer's dream.
Small stuff like stickers, cups, and low-cost jewelry that the player can have and see when away from the game goes along way towards keeping the player connected, and paying.
Brand loyalty is the name of the game here. Might be a small loss and a pain to run, but it pays off in many ways.
CCP...better store please. Thanks. Abide |
