I was just thinking about this and I'm very curious...
What are the top ten oldest "living" items in EVE right now? I'm defining age by an item's assigned ID in the database, and of course this only applies to destructible items.
My guesses: 1. Ships 2. More ships 3. Early collectible items (Jove dude that blew up) |

I'd go even older. Think Micro SmartBombs, Basic Gyrostabilizers or Partial Hull Conversion.

My guess is the Gold or Silver Magnate, the one that Tyraxx did not blow up, is most likely on the oldest item list. |

gold magnate doesnt exist anymore as it was blown up
There are some guardian vexors around i think 25 ish are left
Opus yacht is another one but one was early given out in eve and the second around 2005
There are elite mining drones which are collectable and they are still around.
Also some rare deadspace stuff that was given out in the early days but dont drop anymore. They are not listed anywhere in current eve databases but I beleive some time a ago a rare recharger was sold but was not listed on any database and some guy found it in a container in his station. im sure it was a mizzuro or somthing |

It's probably not something you can check. Untill a few years back, itemID's were recycled often due to the 32 bit limit. It's perfectly possible that the item with ID '1' was the last item made before 64 bit ID's became possible.
Unless db entries are date stamped i think you're out of luck :)

Probably this. I'm sure there are a few from the very first days that have just been left neglected in a station somewhere. "CCP is changing policy, and has asked that we discontinue the bonus credit program after November 7th. So until then, enjoy a super-bonus of 1B Blink Credit for each 60-day GTC you buy!"

The first ever Imicus I bought all those years ago is still in my museum hangar. That ship is from August 2003 but I'm sure there are older stuff still around. Oldest known T2 BPO is a Mininglaser, as a result of an ingame event involving Jovians early after launch.
Stumbled on that info when doing research for my Jovian article. It's the reason it's the only T2 blueprint that lacks certain components compared to other T2 BP manufacturings. -įShrouded in mystery, the Jovian race Wing Commander Okuuda discharged dishonorably and later found dead |

@Dev's... can we please implement the mines function again. I remember back in the days when they did bog the client down when masses where deployed into space, but I'm sure there is a means to update there function.
Also there were once items you could anchor at POS back in '07 that did similar functions as tracking enhancers for POS guns, tracking disruptor e-war, or system wide survey scans... There were several POS modules that were made obsolete. Any word on re-working those back into game? |
