Right now I have a rifter. What I want to do is piracy. A fast little frigate sneaking around in insecure space.
I dont know if I can however. I mean, what can a little rifter do against a big battlecruiser? I will run out of energy long before I can kill it, If I long that long that is. Thats how I got the picture anyhow.
I cant do lvl 2 missions yet. All ive been doing is flying around cargo for various people in lvl 1 missions. I would like to be able to do some lvl1 or lvl2 killing missions.
So what ship should I get? and what skills do I need to train for it?
thanks =)

depends on what race you are what you want to specilize in trade, fighting mining?
everything interlinked, depending on what ship you get will give you certain slots, power and cpu to us. caladari merlin maybe u would get missle launcher with a hybrid gun .

if you want more fighting missions work for a agent in Internal Security or simular. Each division or a corporation has different amount of missions of certain types.

The Rifter can do ok at pirating from what I have read and seen. There is a thread on the Crime and Punishment forum right now specifically about outfitting the Rifter for pirating.
Keep in mind you are not limited to just your races ships. I only mention this because a previous poster mentioned that your race makes a difference. The only real difference it makes is in regards to what you can fly when you start out. All you have to do is invest some hours in training and you can open the door to other ships too. I fly a cruiser for my pve but when I go pirating I take my Merlin, or at least I used to. Recently I picked up a Punisher and so far I prefer it for my pirate activity. Its just a little faster and a bit more durable. It doesn't have the damage output my Merlin did but but I can take more hits. I will probably train up and try out the Rifter myself this week.
