I've seen enough projectile weapons overheated until they've exploded inside, outside, everyside. It's not a problem that just affects DEWs. Now I think about it, a couple of times I've overridden the safeties on my launchers to the point that they've developed spot failures in the exhaust chambers! Any weapon can be abused to the point of failure. |

I fly Amarr ships. There solid, and the opulence of the design is good for the crews' morale. ( It makes us feel rich when we are anything but ) The lack of money is the root of all evil. |

I really prefer weapons, that explode on enemy ships, and not inside my ship. Like missiles. |

I must admit, i've had little to no problems with missiles. As much as i love gallente ship design, i have taken to flying the gurista hybrids. |

I don't really think that there are "bad ships," per se. There are ships that are bad for a particular job, but no ships that I'd call inherently useless. Having had a long time to train the skills neccessary for flying the majority of New Eden's ships, I look upon them as a very extensive toolset. If I'm flying into a firefight I think is going to last several hours without resupply, I'll take an Abaddon - it can take a hell of a lot of punishment and it doesn't require bulky ammunition. On the other hand, if I need to do a withering amount of damage in a very short timeframe, I'll bring a Megathron. If I'm flying into a fight where I'm certain there'll be a lot of capacitor warfare, I'll take a Drake, since it'll keep firing and tanking damage even if my capacitor's completely dead. If I want to blast tough enemies from well outside their firing range, I'll bring a Tornado.
Every ship of every race has a variety of uses in combat, and the wise warrior never discounts any ship of any race, even if he can't fly it himself - it may come up against him in combat, and knowing its strengths and weaknesses will assist him greatly in defeating it. Mane 614

Don't get me wrong, she is a good and effective ship, but why in the Amarr is it so uneven? If your guns like us more, chances are, our guns wont hate you any less... |

Very proper. Good looking. And efficient too. |

Since only a fraction of capsule-capable Amarr hulls are piloted by loyal Amarr, I'm going to go out on a limb here and say He has better things to worry about than the shininess of a machine some Tribal egger is camping a gate with.

Seeing as the Empress stripped Kador of his personal fleet, I find it a little intriguing that he is inviting capsuleers to paint their vessels in his colors. |

At first I wasn't much impressed about the news on "paintjobs"; ships are what they are and combat ships won't tactically benefit from new colors. After having a look at them though... They do look refreshing. I see no evil on giving your ships a bit of personality, if you can afford it. Luckly, paintjobs are generally quite cheap.
I recently got a leaked blueprint of a Thrasher with Thukker Tribe colors, and built it with the aid of X-Sense (being primary drug manufacturers, those Jove do have versatile assembly lines!). It almost feels like a completely new ship! With it I discovered something about these paintjobs that isn't mentioned on the description... they also modify the ships' interior! Now this destroyer has a pale blue light on its decks, which makes the white and tin interiors shine in a way previously unkown to me. Our Thukker cousins do know how to make a ship comfortable! (not surprinsingly given how much time they spend aboard)
Now I might get my hands on one of the battleship paintjobs... The Abbadon, the Rokh and the Hyperion are impressive ships by themselves, but some of the colors avaliable for them manage to make them look even better. Perhaps the Maelstrom is the one with the least impressive paintjobs, but I've heard praises about Krusual ships... Now sure about Nefantar ones though; it feels strange to see Amarrian inspired decorations on Minmatar ships. I'll have to take a closer look at them when I've got the chance.

So far, I enjoy the added variety that's been disclosed for capsuleer use. The more recent avaible shipcolors do give a moment for pause, as they are from unlawful organisations, but time will tell wether i'ts good or not. Ugh. The Nugo paintscheme is awful. "You let one of them go, but that's nothing new is it? Every now and then a little victim is allowed to escape; because she smiled, because he's got freckles, because they begged. And that's how you live with yourself. That's how you slaughter millions." "Only a killer would know that..." |
