In lowsec there are no kill rights for just killing someone - only podding them. If they just killed your ship and did not pod you then you are sol. I don't play, I just fourm warrior. |

I dont know why you were traversing lowsec - but in general if you are going to move indies in lowsec - you should either have a scout or know the cloak/mwd trick. Otherwise you will get popped repeatedly.

Or have a webbing alt, keep in mind he will die to gate guns, so it's only practical with a 1 system low-sec route.
Of course, unless he is in the same player corp, then you can use him multiple times till someone pops him. Personal channel: Crazy Dutch Guy

Or a duel, which will start a limited engagement which refreshes. "Do not touch anything unnecessarily. Bear in mind that just because you don't have killrights doesn't mean that you can't blow up their ships. If they live in lowsec then killrights don't matter much anyway. www.everevolutionaryfront.com

I'd like to clarify that kill rights are given for any criminal act, regardless of loss of ship or pod.

To add to this: Once you have a killright, you must activate it before you can legally attack the target. To activate it, you click on the pilot, usually from the overview, and select the "activate killright" icon in the "selected items" window. You can make killrights activatable by everyone if you like, and you can add a charge to activate the killright too.
When the killright is activated, the target becomes a suspect, and everyone is allowed to shoot them. If they die, then the killright is fulfilled. If they live, and successfully wait out the suspect time without losing the ship, you can hunt them down and activate killrights on them again for another chance.

First sentance is slightly misleading, but the second is true.
There are no consequences from a sec status standpoint for shooting a ship or podding in Nullsec or wormhole space, just to finish that train of thought. |

Fist isnt misleading.
Shooting a ship in highsec or a pod in low gives you Criminal timer and thus a killright for the other party.
It doesnt matter if said person survives the encounter or dies. Basically, say you take a pod shot at me on a highsec gate while I'm tanked. I jump system, you get CONCORDED and I receive a killright....but never lost a ship in the proces.
Ergo, the Criminal act is generating the killright...NOT the loss of ship/pod. Personal channel: Crazy Dutch Guy
