So I put down some money on the DK2. I'm pretending I'm going to do some hobby dev with Unity or something (maybe I will) but partly I'm hoping I'll qualify for a few betas and will be able to show off the demos that are out to friends and family.
Anyone else going for the DK2 or waiting for/own a DK1? |

I'll wait for consumer version. Or even will think about Morpheus... But because the later one will not come in 2014, I'll have to pick OR |

The DK2 is a great piece of hardware, and FAR beyond what the DK1 did :) Consumer kit will be a step beyond that.
If you are excited to play around with VR now, and even play around making applications/games for it.. pre-order DK2 today :) Or if you are content with waiting, get the consumer Rift or Morpheus on the PS4. - Senior Programmer on EVE: Valkyrie / @SiggiGG |

I bought the DK2 knowing full well I'll be buying the consumer version as well, I'm sure it'll be no substitute. |

I'm trying and failing at doing something with DK1 for university studies so I bought it just few weeks ago. Unfortunately I seem to be very susceptible to simulator sickness when using it while family members haven't had complaints about it. I did get pretty dizzy when trying EVR at Fanfest 2013, but I've never had any problems with screens. |

Soooo. If I were to get a DK2, any games/demos/betas I should be trying out?

TF2, for one, has Oculus Rift support, as does most of the other HL2 Source engine games, Strike Suit Zero, Sugeon Simulator 2013, War Thunder, AaaaaAAaaaAAAaaAAAAaAAAAA!!! for the Awesome, and Hawken, to name some popular games you probably have heard of and are out already.

This has gotten a LOT better, both with the new hardware and also software. Its rare anyone feels any motion sickness in the new stuff.
If you are attending Fanfest this year, I'd love to hear what you think about trying the game there.

The official Oculus forums are also full of fun demos the community is creating :)
