Edited by: Jim McGregor on 02/05/2006 15:07:38 Edited by: Jim McGregor on 02/05/2006 15:06:25 This offer has to be the worst offer ive gotten so far.
These are the current sell prices on the market for the items the agent wants:
Gallente Navy Midshipman Insigna I - 4500 isk each Gallente Navy Midshipman Insignia II - 8000 isk each Republic Fleet Private Insignia I - 20.000 isk each Republic Fleet Private Insignia II - 25.000 isk each
Agent wants 405 of each. That means he wants insignias for a total value of 23287500 isk AND 20250 LP as well.
Agent pays me 37665500 isk for this. Im getting 14378000 isk for the 20250 LP.
Think ill keep waiting for another implant offer instead which pays more than double this amount. And i dont have to collect 1620 tags either.
The only offers that have been worth taking so far has been the implant offers. Im sure this is not intended by the devs?

Well at least you aren't getting freighter containers as a reward...

Don't feel bad, my agent offered me 4 implants last night in one shot! I forget the ones but they were Hardwiring and added +1 Perception! The same implants that sell for 80k ea on the market he only wanted 800LP and 1mil isk for them So for 1mil and 800LP I could have walked away with 320,000 isk worth of implants. "your loss" he tells me... Would be nice if there was a "WTF are you smoking?!" button on the agent offer gump.

ROFL oh yes, so true! Or like the other day, where he wanted me to make a 6 jump trip to kill 1 spy + 4 rogue pirate escorts... Or my last storyline mission, which of course I didn't accept, that involved a 10 jump courier (20 jumps total)...
Please CCP, either tune these missions a bit, by making the offers more interesting, or include a GO F*** YOURSELF! button :P

It would be nice if the offers were self-tuning: every time someone turns down an LP offer, either the LP requirement goes down or the quantity of things on offer goes up slightly. After a while, all agent offers would be equally worthwhile.

My "best" offer so far was 10.240 units of Quafe Ultra Special Edition for amazing 102.400 LPs.
I really did not know that my agent is smoking this quafe drinks ...

mission runing isnt really worth while when it comes to agent offers.
i run missions for the bounties (worlds collide anyone? mmm), sec standing increase and faction standing so someday i may be able to install a jumpclone in empire. and ofcourse get me an r&d agent. all useful things to have.
most of the offers i've had were borderline retarded. surpased by only that one battleship (aparently the mission oversier..) that droped a civ shield booster as loot.
dont whine about the offers, its useless, trust me :) last ive heard kali is going to do something about it, but then again. ---
new sig, Hijack it and ill eat u. *Imaran hands B0rn2KiLL a fork - Come get some!11

What have you been smoking? Have you even done agent missions beyond level 1?
Some level 4 missions can give as much as 10.000 LP, and aren't really that hard to complete with a decent BS setup. And some good offers can come as early as at 15.000 LP (Political Connections and Military Connections), you have to pay 10 million ISK but can easily sell them for 80 mill, possibly up to 100 mill. That's 4667 ISK per LP conversion ratio right there.
Most implant offers are also good, with a conversion ration of around 2000 ISK per LP (I believe).
Now, just because *some* (or even most) of your offers were too bad for you doesn't mean that all of them are. Oh, and in one mission I looted 2 local hull conversion expanded cargoholds (they sell for around 30 mill each). So just because some loot is crap doesn't mean it always is. Same concept.

Hehe over the last 3-4 weeks of playing maybe 20 hours total for the week ive got about 15-20 +3 implants and 3 connections skillbooks. Takes 2 or 3 lv4's to hit 15k lp (the golden LP ammount) x by a few agents in the same station = $_$.

Actually looking back ive been very lucky, i think 75%-90% of offers have been for an implant, the only unlucky ones ive had were social adaption chips

Back on topic of tags. From my personal experience with Thukker agents their tags offers has been nice with conversion rates of 2k per 1 LP. So i suppose factions with low concord standing offer good rewards for tags (havn't tested with real pirates though) but main faction offers are pointless. This reward system screams for an update.

I was quite happy when I got 2 of them (+2) for a storyline mission (reward or time bonus... dunno anymore).
One of them plugged (no big loss when podded, but a nice bonus for training negotiation and the other social skills...), the other one sold for a few hundred kisk.
At least it's nicer than those cargo containers.
Please, CCP, give rather NOTHING - thats better than having to click "Trash it".

405 * 4 = 1620 tags... Hmmm...
Agent: Please go out there and kill the better part of the Gallente fleet, and bring me the tags... and I'll give you a little ISK.
Me: Unless you give me command of the Caldari fleet.........
Seriously, some offers are just not ment to be accepted...

I just rejected an offer. I think it was 5500 LP and some loot modules (nothing too fancy)... and like 200 super conducters?
For a 1-run ARES bpc.
WTF. I can goto Jita and buy one pre-built for, what, 6m?
At least its better than all those damned drug offers.

Edited by: Tachy on 04/05/2006 05:24:51 Thukker agent offer: Bark Becomes Bite Reward: 100MN Thukker Modified Afterburner (181% speed bonus, 30% less cap than ABII, 30% harder fitting) Required: 65000LP, 1x Karzo Sarum's Tag, 1x Yeni Sarum's Tag (Both not available, the NPC have been taken out of the game over half a year ago. They used to be leading Amarr Blockades.)
At least the tag offers these days are better than right after RMR where you got the NPC market value without any extra cash for your LP. --*=*=*-- Megadon CCP wanted a well known artist and celebrity to test the new font so it's approval would be well known. They got Ray |

The more offers of implants agents give out, the more people that get them and thus the less they are worth. If double the amount of implants hit the street the price will plummet. Especially if it reaches the point that everyone feels they are so common they can just get their own... then prices drop even further.
The system now makes people calculate each offer to determine their worth. Then they decline crappy ones and that process of having to wait for a good offer greatly reduces the overall rewards for mission running. If every offer was worth 2000isk per lp then no one would do anything but run missions... as it would be such an easy way to make money.
Level 4 missions would be paying out 20 mill isk just for the 10k lp's they offer. They still do for people smart enough to use their LP's wisely... but a large amount don't know how to and don't realize that they do translate this way if you wait.
