Hello, I'm looking to explore Caldari nullsec. I have NEVER been to nullsec for any extended period of time before and generally have minimal exposure to it.
I'm putting up this Eveslist-ad looking for someone to guide me through the basics of not dying in nullsec. In turn I'll do whatever you want me to, be pirating, mining, salvaging, pirating, ratting, FW, pirating, or pirating. (Hint: I want to do piracy.) I also will pay all of my own expenses, for ships and equipment whatever. Also, if you don't like me, you have every right to ditch me and move on.
Here's the catch!
I'm the most god-awful pilot you'll ever meet.
I'll still do anything to the best of my abilities, just don't expect those abilities to be very good. At all.
Why am I going into null if I'm terrible, you ask?
Well, I've lost ships doing about everything I've tried thus far, so I figure that if I'm going to fail at something, it might as well be something new and exciting.
So who's interested in having a lame partner-in-crime?
(P.S. I want you to know that I want this to be something beneficial for you, not just out of pity for me. If you really really think you can shape me up into someone that can help you, give it a go, but don't just do it because you feel sorry for me. Also, when I say that I will pay for all my own expenses, I mean that I don't want anything paid for me. My goal to get out of this is to eventually be as lucrative self-sufficient as possible.) Look at my sig, my sig is amazing |

Well... that is a good start.
What is it that you actually want to achieve? Since that will determine how you play the game and at the same time enjoy yourself.
I for example play as an idiot. I wardec corps and enjoy myself hunting them down killing them. "I saw him fight by the monument in Jita. He flowed in his Machariel like a Shinto spirit, 800MM shells sprouting in his passing. His hair flowed in the corona of his target's warp core breach. It was truly majestic. And while everyone stared in awe I stole the loot and ran off. Because I am like that." - NEONOVUS |

1stly this man speaks truth. Finding a group of people who play the game the same way you wish to is the most important part of eve. 2ndly He doesn't play as an idiot. His name is known throughout New Eden and carebear children are frightened into behaving by the threat of Mr Cane. 3rdly You have mail. Money at its root is a form of rationing. When the richest 85 people have as much wealth as the poorest 3.5 billion (50% of humanity) it is clear where the source of poverty is. http://www.theguardian.com/commentisfree/2014/jan/20/trickle-down-economics-broken-promise-richest-85 |

Can you fly a Drake or any other BC?
I need a regular supply of bait. I can pay too. Just need you on call 24/7 with ships in the locations I required and clones to match.
Also, do you have Cyno V? That would be a plus. |

I like PvP roams and killing people for a profit.
I should probably mention that as well. When I do PvP, I typically do it to make money. Not into the Red vs. Blue kind of recreational stuff. Look at my sig, my sig is amazing |

I can fly Minmatar BC's, that's it. I'm working on Caldari as we speak.
No, I do not have Cyno V. Look at my sig, my sig is amazing |

The basics of "not dying" in null sec are reasonably easy to learn. First I would read the old "Guide to Piracy" which there used to be a link to somewhere around here. After that, it really depends on what you want to do. To survive, be paranoid, be patient, especially if you're like me and usually wander alone. Learn to scout, learn to run. Even if you become part of a holding corp or alliance, the same stuff applies. You're never safe. Few people understand the psycology of a highway traffic cop. Your average speeder will panic and immediately pull over to the side. This is wrong. It arouses contempt in the cop heart. Make the bastard chase you. He will follow. |

This is true. I am truly awful at regular PvP, but am pretty good at suicide ganking.
As a warning though, suicide ganking really limits what you can do in high sec. I like using an alt for that reason. |

As I understand it, the best way to learn how not to die in nullsec ( or anywhere for that matter ), is to die many times in nullsec. The lack of money is the root of all evil. |

It's only a trick if you pay to get in. Goons newbie program is pretty spectacular as far as they go. And since the end goal is not ELITEPVPOMGWTFBBQ, it's quite laid back.
