Corp/Alliance/Fleet showing on dscan with my pvp tab.
Directional Scan Tab I have Use Active Overview Settings Checked.
I have the PvP Tab active.
Corp/Alliance/Fleet to not show up in the overview but they do show up in the D/Scan.
In Overview settings Preset PvP for my PvP tab in the states tab, Pilot in your Corp/Alliance/Fleet are not checked. Show they shouldn't show in the D/scan.
Correct?
Why are they still showing up in my dscan? I have reset the overview settings and tried from scratch with the same results. |

AFAIK, it's always been that way.
My understanding is that the D-scan cannot tell standings as it has little info to go on, so shows ship types. only when they come onto grid can the overview apply the standings and decide whether or not the need to be on your overview as per your settings. I guess I never noticed it until after I lost my overview and had to remake it, I wasn't sure if it was always like that. |

Dscan is like a radar, it shows every thing bouncing the echo.
overview is like a short range radar with iff, adding identification layer thus allowing you to filter acording to your need |

That is a very good explanation thank you. |

How long have you been playing this game? How would dscan determine if it's friend or foe?
