Well. i'd go for some kind of "energy drain" setup and heavy tank. Highslots: 2 x Whatever lasers you can fit 2 x Small Nosferatu.
Medslots: 1 x 7.5 km warp scrambler. 1 x Afterburner
Lowslots: 2 x Adaptive energized nano membrane 2 x small armor repairer.
Not sure if this fits but it should give an idea on how you might want to setup your ships

Try
3x Dual Light Pulse, 1x Small Nos 1x 1MN AB, 1x Warp Scrambler (webber in pve) 1x Small Rep, 1x EANM, 1x 200mm plate, and 1x CPR

The EANMs eat up too much CPU for that to fit.

Ah i see, another option might be to ditch the energized adaptives and replace with capacitor power relays.

Malka's punisher setup is pretty damn good both for PVE and small scale PVP, but particularly for PVP and you can get pretty good performance out of it without going into any skill trainings above 4. The absence of an MWD hurts it though, you lose a lot of targets. Adding in a T2 small rep lowers it's expendability a little bit, but you get a lot of bang for your buck.

Problem is it'sfor piracy only. In PvP against half-decent opponents, it'll get fried

3x 150mm autocannons, small nos ab/mwd+scrambler, or web + scrambler small rep, damage control, 200/400mm armor plate, and an MAPC if you need one.
mix fusion, emp, and phased plasma ammo for a good damage type balance.

And what T1 frigate/setup isn't that true of?

High Slots 3x Medium Pulse Laser I 1x Small Nosferatu I
Med Slots 1x 1MN Afterburner I 1x Warp Scrambler I/Stasis Web I [depends on whethere somebody else will be warp scrambling for you or not]
Low Slots 2x Capacitor Power Relay I 1x Heat Sink I 1x Small Armor Repairer I
I just used this setup today to kick some ass in a frigate duel. Worked great, no named equipment even. I suggest multifrequency crystals. -------- Tom Thumb > for a nut case you rawk [04:21:15] Mebrithiel Ju'wien > Nik's bio 4tw btw [07:38:53] Graelyn > Nikolai for Dev 108!
